Do Warriors Decide Matches?
In soloq, I’ve noticed that 9 times out of 10, the team with the most warriors will win. Their ability to tank, do strong damage, and lay down so much cc all at once makes them essential to any successful team. They simply become an anchor for a team to play around. If your team doesn’t have one, you are at a severe disadvantage.
The funny thing is, there are also plenty of people who say the exact same thing about engi and ele…

Yeah, I’d take a warrior over either of those.
I don’t think it’s warriors who specifically determine who wins. Warriors can easily be melted by condis. Even shoutbows don’t handle some condi builds that well.
What damage are you talking about? Every warrior is either a shoutbow or a hambow nowadays, and they are both super defensive. My thief just rips them to shreds. Sometimes 2 at a time. They have the best ability for stealing
No, warriors do not decide matches. They used to. Now they are at the bottom of the barrel. I’d take double grenade pack engi or cele d/d ele over warrior without thinking twice about it. The other two can provide a lot more support.
Hell, If we are playing vs pug and i really want to troll the other team, i’d take turret engineer and ask him to tank close.

So then, how do you explain the last two EU monthly finals being won by a non-warrior team against a team with a warrior?

Either of those decide the match, because they are bunker support.
It’s thief that decides the match…
The weakest link decides matches especially when its close to all solos there will always be at least one guy that is horrible.
No single class decides a match. The player’s ability to rotate or read a mini-map to see where they are most useful does.

If shoutbow doesn’t handle condition, I can think of no spec that handle condition well lol. Only thing I can come up with is another popular choice, yknow, an Ele.

Funny thing is there’s still no necro and ranger to be seen XD.

I dunno, I guess I would have said something about SoloQ in the op.

Ele handles them a little better. The sustain on ele is better for cycling back to remove condis.
If you have a bigger condi spread and fast application than most classes like rabid engie, it becomes increasingly harder for shoutbows to purge all the condis and keep them off.

If shoutbow cant handle those condition, then same goes to any other classes that’s not an ele. Shoutbow is actually already way too forgiving, because other classes either have to use their CC and dodge to not get hit by those condition at all. Also shoutbow gives engi a tons of pressure because they’re a hybrid class that use alot of condition too. When you add that condition damage with 25 stacks of might, it actually hurts equally as bad as a condition engi.

pretty sure it is engis who decide the outcome… the more engis → more iwin buttons → win

Well, ya, most classes don’t handle certain condi builds all that well. Condis are kinda OP.
Shoutbows are only tough if I have to be on point for the majority of a fight on my engie.

Yet, the team with the Warrior and the Guardian just won WTS
How do you explain that?

i main warrir, ranger and ele, and between those 3 classes the warrior seems the weakest by far, he just doesnt have as many options as the other two. But kitten does that 20k hundrede bladez feel good !

Wait what? Someone’s still using hundred blade?
No wonder you felt that your warrior is weakest.
