is here some possibility to not be teamed with people I have blocked? Like a future feature?

People would block bad players to have a higher chance of getting a good team.

I can’t see something like this working. Imagine if you blocked so many people, that you couldn’t play with anyone :P

Like Arcadio said, people would abuse it.

Yeah I would love to block all the players who aren’t in pro leagues so that I only get teamed with pro league players.

That is literally the best idea Ive ever seen.
Dont team up and block just everybody.

Its not like there is a playerbase of like a few 1000 which currently playing over the day.
I had 6 of 7 matches the same weirdo goy who wandered around like a true champion.
Was it because the playerbase is so small that you have to bother with the same garbage over and over and over […]? No! It was because are secretly love each other and the very active support of anet figured it out very quickly and putted us together manually!

The other option is getting that crappy 3 man teef team that makes you afk 4 mins into a game because they are just camping the fíng enemy spawn for “Kills”… (happened to me 4 games yesterday before I played a different game)

a better idea would be allow us to see invisible people blocked people who are queueing in the lobby so we don’t queue together with them.

If they implement this, and people abuse it, then they’ll pay the price themselves through longer queue times or not being able to get a match at all.

There are, however, people who I find to be genuinely disgusting human beings who I would much rather not be thrown on a team with. Sure, if they’re blocked I don’t hear anything from them, but that’s now one teammate you can’t coordinate with.

The irony being that these people that behave like this, end up being a big cause of losing games. Whilst they’re busy typing out profanities and how everyone sucks in team, whilst standing at spawn, the enemy team are capping points and stomping players.

There’s quite a few players out there, that just give up and start complaining at the first sign of a challenge.

I am sorely disappointed to hear that we already aren’t teamed with people on our blocked list.

Since I only block people who are verbally abusive, as in demeaning, I don’t care if it makes me have longer queues. At least I won’t have to deal with abusive attitudes.

Note that I don’t block people who are giving honest, if frustrated, criticism. To say that it’s stupid to stand there at mid the whole match isn’t the best way to say it but that’s not abusive. Screaming how much everyone else sux and bla bla bla is what I block.

Now, don’t forget the most important question in anything (especially politics): “And then what?”

1) People who abuse it to block all but very good / great players will limit their potential team mates to the point that they spend hours in queue instead of being able to get matches. There doesn’t need to be any penalty for this, they’ve screwed themselves.

2) People who use it to block only abusive players, but not poor ones, will have made sure that they can’t be teamed with the worst but they can still be teamed with the best. This will shift their average team quality up but only slightly. But the important thing is that the intended purpose will be served since they won’t be re-teamed with abusive… something-somethings.

3) The people who are really abusive will get blocked by so many people that they themselves will have their queue times go up the most of anyone. This penalizes them most of all.

I thought that this was the way things always were. It’s definitely the way things need to be.

Block all they meet? Fine, they won’t be getting any matches then and will have effectively ended their own season. Not my problem.

But what really made me double-take when reading your reply was your suggestion to hide chat. I mean, seriously???

You’ve crippled your team by making sure that 20% of the team can’t coordinate anymore. So please “think”.

Chat coordination is overrated. 1% of all the stuff written in chat is actually productive. I have seen completely muted teams coordiante better on average than those chatters.

I don’t need to watch a single video. I’d rather base this on my exprience of hundreds of games up to legend and beyond. Sure, if there are people that think it helps them then use it. Most of the calls can be made by common sense though if players use their own brain.

Guess it is also class dependent. I can see a mesmer running portal on foefire might want to use chat. Got to give you that.
