Q:
Do people get banned here?
ArenaNet Communications Manager
A:
As everyone has said, yes, of course players can get warnings, suspensions, and even account terminations. Click the player, right click his portrait, click report, choose “verbal abuse” and the incident will be reviewed.

That’s just a PvP community being a PvP community.
Report and block, nothing more you can do.

Eh purposefully ruining the game for his 4 teammates, and verbal abuse should warrant something no?
I PvP a ton, but that’s no need to use those insults and ruin the game for others. Sucking is 1 thing, ruining is another.
You should follow this instruction:
1) Report him.
2) Stop being oversensitive.
3) ???
4) Profit.

It should indeed, but it will take time. No doubt Anet staff gets hundreds, if not thousands of reports a day, it takes time to go through it all. Trashtalk is a common thing in a PvP environment, It’s probably not a high priority.

I couldn’t agree more. That’s one of the reasons I usually stay away from PvP in general, too toxic for me. I’m not saying you are toxic, nor am I accusing anyone in particular. But as you yourself already pointed out, it only takes one bad apple to ruin it. And there are plenty of them.

You never have anyhting good to say.
1) i reported him
2) has nothing to do with being sensitive. I’m just curious how good user management from anet is
3) You seem to have a lot to say fill in the blanks
4) There’s no way to profit physically from this scenario.
As long as you reported him for his behavior, that’s all you can do. We aren’t privy to what actions the moderators take afterwards.
That said, don’t let one person ruin your gaming experience. They live to see responses like this. And it’s why they do it.
Believe me when I tell you, if that person’s behavior continues in the negative, the moderators will deal with him . . . severely.
And then we get to enjoy his tears here.
4) There’s no way to profit physically from this scenario.
It’s a virtual game. Your problems aren’t physical too so why should anyone care?
Report, block and forget. No need to spam forums with redundant topics that are going to be closed anyway.
Everyone keeps saying “report him”, there’s no option to report someone for intentionally griefing in PVP.
I believe it falls under verbal abuse in this case.

Luckily he called me “lord autism” and “kitten” in map chat there.
Otherwise yeah i wouldnt know what to do
You can also use this form: https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
Hopefully, the staff will direct the report to the correct team members.

Using autism as an insult? Was it the self-proclaimed, “#1 Guardian NA” ?
you have more of a chance to get banned if you post his name on the forum than he who performs the illegal act… This is the Internet Justice world we now live in…
you can eat the hammer for any reason if enough /report

you can eat the hammer for any reason if enough /report
Anet said that the number of reports does not affect the chances of being banned.

“Lord Autism” is not a big insult or anything, I believe that players shouldn’t get their accounts temporarily suspended because of that.
Constantly dying on purpose however should be at least a week ban for the first time imo.
Frankly, I witness insults and non fair-play behavior almost every time I play. There’s not much you can do, apart from telling yourself each time you feel angry for losing when you had a mesmer on your team dying to Svanir: “Do I really want to insult that guy? What good will it bring me?”, and then NOT insult him. The problem is there will always be bad sports in any competitive game. Hell, there are complains on these forums about how toxic the DUNGEON community is, so these guys are everywhere. Don’t think about this too much.

An innocent player would not be banned just because 1000 players reported them. There is nothing wrong with believing that anet can tell the truth sometimes.

Why would an innocent player be reported 1000 times? If he does not play too much PvE, that is (where you can get a truckload of insults and reports for COMPLETING an event. Yes, I speak from experience).
