Hello all,

I have been extremely frustrated with playing matches for the simple reason that people just won’t communicate. I use the mini-map to signal incoming players, I type out incs, I update players on my position (useful since I roam between points a lot), and so forth. But most of the time it’s pointless. There’s always the 1 dude that rushes far – and fights the bunker while it’s already capped, the 2 guys capping home at the very beginning or even people in between bases at all times. Attempting to coordinate where we will be going at the beginning seems to have effect about 1/10 games.

So I was wondering: Do you communicate with the team? If you do, awesome, and thanks, but if you don’t – why don’t you communicate and why do you even que…?

I’m a thief, and typically solo TeamQ quite frequently. My past 8 matches I haven’t lost, and have micromanaged the entire fight down to a tee, constantly looking at the map and determining what needs to be done to win. As long as your team will listen, which most do, you’ll be well off. Most TeamQ organized teams aren’t that organized, and with enough communication you can easily outplay them.

Yea, a lack of communication is usually pretty synonymous with a losing team in solo Q. I’ll take players that are mediocre at winning fights but great at communication over great players that don’t talk any day. This is especially true for some maps like Legacy of the Foefire where a coordinated push for the lord is often the difference between a win or loss.

TeamQ yes, SoloQ rarely. Too many people are not reliable for communication in solo q, and most attempts at communication are futile. Map pings/arrows might be the best option for solo q.

Really, the most you can hope for is that people know how to play and will watch the map/their mate’s hp bars and make gameplay decisions based on that information.
