Every now and then in Ranked, I’ll encounter that one player who will go AFK in spawn, or will just run around the map doing nothing. My team will report them for Match Manipulation, but it doesn’t seem like reporting does anything, because I’ll end seeing those players in Ranked still playing (on my team, or on the other side). These players costs us not only Pips, but also ruins winning streaks when they troll us.

I figure GMs need to research each report, so maybe there’s a huge backlog. If that’s the case, more GMs need to look into these reports, because us Solo Queue players are handicapped. We have to suffer 4 v 5 matches when someone decides to play to lose. With matchmaking already in the current state, we could use all the help we can get to have balanced and fun teams.

Evidently, they do not. At least as best as we can tell as players.

Case in point, Stronghold is still available for Ranked Queue, and people are still using it in order to farm to Legend.

i feel you man!. I solo queued from diamond all the way to legendary.. and its so frustrting that 1 trol 1noob or a whiner teammate can ruin your chances to legendary… eventually ive reach legendary after being stock on 3-5 pips last tier going to legendary for 5 days… afkers ruin the fun and your chances reaching legendary division.. some one need to look into this and ban those afk/troll players!

And why do they afk?
Just had 2 games in a row where i got players insulting me with racist commments.
I win them 1v1 or in team fights and they whisper me after insuling me.
Then i get them in my team next game and they just keep going on and on.
When is enough really enough and a player should just sat kitten it and stop playing?
Why are players alowed to insult others and get away with it?
Im talking to players like helseth for exemple that kid thinks hes the best in the world and insults players 24/7 .
Ofc in real life they wouldnt even talk back at u that nerd.
Problem is at least for me that i really hate bullies i really do and thats one one the reasons that im a martial arts instructor.
So i get so kittened at this kids writing all this racist remarqs and nothings gets done about it.
But if u stop and u afk cause of this kids then u are the reason pvp sucks and afm players should be banned and all.
But why not ask why they afk?
Game is 300- 20 no caps why are the players not alowed to afk?
There is 4vs 5 no caps why are we not alowed to afk?
Some 1 is insulting u and your family why are we not alowed to afk?
Its easier to blame the afker right ?
I sent loads of messages sreens emails, about certain players , but i still get them in my team.
I know u all pros and u all think u can insult every one and every one should just kitten and take the insults.
I just want to say that bullies never gained anything vs me in real life and will never gain anything in the game by beeing like that.
I do my best even tho im not a pro player i reached legend all seasons soloing in the first 2-3 weeks, so i really dont tolerate insults or racist remarqs of any kind.

I didnt say i was better , i did say that he insults a lot that kid.
And i sent the reports to anet.
But this is not helseth , this is about findind a reason why players afk.
Cause no 1 would afk for no reason.

Being Pro in GW2 is like being the star of a little league touch football, not many people take what they say seriously, it’s more of a laugh.

As for abusive people, just block them and keep enjoying the game as you see fit. (obviously don’t afk in ranked, we’re already bleeding players due to Anet, don’t need playerbase contribution too)

Yes yes, we’re getting closer and closer to the eve of the end of the world. People jumping at peoples throats for afking in a game.

the real question is: They care about Spvp? answer: NO , it’s since 2 years we asking for: go back to soloq and teamq, don’t start start match in 4 vs 5, something about class stacking… and what they did? nothing, only beta testing for matchmaking and still mm is bad.
With some change to spvp structure there will be for sure less afker but they simply don’t care.

Nope they let their pro league players exploit to win games in ranked.

ANET: you are being called out! the current "match making system wants me to use words that really aren’t proved for the current setup. Your not giving players a fair chance to move up in the ranking as they should be. Please advise us your paying customers what you are going to do to fix the current match making issue!!!
