Does Matchmaking take class into account?
You ask if any of them were queuing together?
If two thieves queue together there’s nothing really stopping it.
I did ask, and they didnt.
I mean i see a fair amount of turret engies teaming up and thats already annoying but there are alot of times that classes just somehow get teamed up. Itd be nice for some kind of change to that.

You know full well this happens all the time due to the match making not really caring and you can find out easily by trying to invite them to group if you can invite one or both they are not grouped together. I see it all the time and I always check to see who is grouped before a match starts. There was a brief time/test period when matchmaking was very strick with class composition but people cried and they quickly changed it. I believe it was right before the test season when they were fooling around quite a bit.

I rarely see 3 of the same classes w/o some duo queue action. Not denying it happens. Just doesn’t seem to happen frequently unless it is the first hour or so of dailies.
My personal record was 4 mesmer in my team, all solo, no mesmer daily. Happened last week. :-(
4 only happened once to my, 3 sometimes and 2 quite often. :-(
There’s a post on a thread somewhere from Justin saying it does hold classes back to try and form teams with variety, but when there are a lot of one class queueing, it’s impossible to create every team without duplicates of those classes. Eventually, rather than keeping the imbalance of those classes held back, once a certain waiting time is reached for them they just get put into a team regardless of that team’s composition.
So, yes.

No, it doesn’t. 3 mesmers on one side, none on other? 2 rangers on one side, none on other? Just shows how it actually doesn’t work.
