Hello.

Im 99% positive the thing is happening on steady ground on like 30-50% of total times i get immobilized.

True / false / showed under carpet etc. ?

this happens in wvw, i dont know of any mobs that immob in pve.

the question is about the ancient old bug of being immobilized while mid air – thus unable to start casting any skill.
Now, we all know this bug exists and sadly it happens pretty often.
The question is, i often felt i was immobed and couldnt cast a skill even while i was perfectly on ground, no jumping or whatever.

Lots of mobs immob in pve, particularly spiders.

The question is, i often felt i was immobed and couldnt cast a skill even while i was perfectly on ground, no jumping or whatever.

Certain skills exhibit this behaviour. However, it largely ends up depending on the direction you’re facing and whether or not you have an enemy targeted. I don’t know if there’s a particular skill you’re trying to use, or if you’re just noticing it in general, but it is a thing that can happen.

For instance, an engineer can use overcharged shot on their rifle in order to break the immobilize. However, if you have an enemy targeted when you use it, the enemy has to be in front of you. If they’re off to the side or behind you, the skill will fail to activate and go on a short cooldown (as if it were interrupted). The engineer will not turn to face the enemy while immobilized. Alternatively, one can simply detarget the enemy that’s behind them, shooting overcharged shot at nothing, but clearing the immobilize in the process.

The behaviour differs on a skill by skill basis, so it’s tough to tell which ones will end up working in those situations and which ones don’t.

It happens in pve alot too. In SW.
It can even bug when immobilized on ground but you use some ‘jump’ skill like Leap of Faith or Mighty Blow. If floating turrets are a thing, than how come someone will take care of this?

Dont shadowstep, infil arrow, disabling shot, infil signet, and steal all beak the midair bug?

All the time when I fight on Forest of Niflhel for blue close. Usually with my guardian. You are using terrain to cover from range attacks, charge into fight on point and caught in mid-air…

In SW this happens a lot too, I think HoT will be even worse with Mordy minions everywhere. But I don’t really care about such bug in PvE, anyway zerg > game.
