So I don’t consider myself to be a top pvp player of this game by any means. So I understand, by the way this league’s matchmaking is set up, to lose more often than great players. The problem I’m encountering is that I’m going on long huge lose streaks in the league and about 50 to 70 percent of my games I am the highest scoring player on my team. When I am the top scorer on my team I usually am also ahead of 3 or 4 of the scores on the winning team. I feel, based on personal, various 1v1 and 1v2 situations in these matches that I am just as good, if not better, than most of the players I play against. Despite this, I can’t seem to have a team that can actually win. Many times in the last few days I’d hold off 2 or 3 enemies, keeping a point for a longer time than it takes for my team of 4 to get obliterated by 2 guys on a different point. With this information, and I know it might sound like just complaining, but I’m wondering if, since I happened to lose a couple matches at the beginning of the season, that no matter how well I perform personally, I’m going to have to wait till enough players of my skill or better get further up in the league? Also, if this system doesn’t go off of personal performance, does that give a decent, slightly above average, player a real chance at being able to advance? It seems to me that if a player on the losing team scores better than most of the winning team, who have an easier time of getting a better score, then it should prove that maybe that player needs to be put with a better team, or at least a team that is really the same skill level. What are your thoughts? Does personal performance matter, or is it based mostly on that you lost? And if personal performance doesn’t matter, is that how competitive gaming should be?

Problem is it is hard to equate personal score to your contribution to the teams final score in some cases.

It could be you bunked down an already held point 2-3v1 allowing your team mates to boost there score.

The only thing I can say for sure right now :
if you have a personal score of 0 and are a DPS (non bunker type too )- look at your play style there is probably some room for improvement if all your buddies > 80 personal points.

Personal performance != personal score.

If in a match you’re bunkering on a point because of your and enemy comp, for example, you won’t get the higher score. Conversely, if you only go around and skirmish outside of points instead of defending/decapping/capping them, you could have a high personal score, but your personal performance should be assimilated to “kittenty player”.

Tol, what you are experiencing are just another symptom of the snowball problem.
Personal performance is not same as personal score, but he never had this problem until this season, ergo, it has something to do with this season.

^ as above.

But there is very little reason to have a personal score of 0 (If you are not a bunker)- even then something should have died which you touched.

I think it’s safe to say scoring 0 in a match – you probably need to do something different : better.

Scoring 0 is pretty much possible if one team is getting totally rekt. The enemies focus target will not make much score if get any. Just dont check scoreboard check end game statisctic instead.

Being the top scoreboard doesnt mean that you was more useful winning the game than a player with 0 and other low scores. That low score guys actually can be the heart of the team. The problem with people they care too much about score instead of the game and going on score hunting mode instead of win the game modes so after the game ends and lost, our score hero can blame every player for the lose. while he was just something like a useless point leecher hero. On losing match when getting stomped i cant blame a guy that cant make any score or low score because everywhere he goes he getting outnumbered rekt.
