Does reporting players even do anything, ive reported several players for idle/match fixing etc, and nothing seems to happen to them, I see them in PvP daily, doing the same thing over and over,

How can you have a competitive season if they don’t stop the people who are going out of their way to screw it up for others,

Today ive had 4 matches where someone went out of their way to lose, by afk or running to die on purpose, we also had a guy who started the map ran out got killed then said, im going AFK and he did, everyone reported him,

Yesterday we had a guy who was clearly an ALT account of someone, ( ironically the account name had Troll in it ) he did the same thing went out of his way to lose the match by running into enemies for free kills, AFKing etc, he was reported, hes still ingame today playing,

There have been several players like this across the season, and yet nothing seems to happen to them, they are allowed to continue to play ranked matches and throw games, where you can win 4v5 it makes it very very hard when someone is going out of their way to lose.

So ANET do you read reports do you take action, does someone need to be reported x5 x50 x5000 before you take action, or is anything below Legendary Tier ignored?

Has anyone else seen someone they have reported for whatever reason and continue to see them play in ranked doing the same thing??? If I get beat by a better team happy days, you reflect and learn, to get beaten by a team because someone on your own team goes out of their way to lose, is bad, and this is also why the rating system needs an overhaul.

Yes, reporting people in-game works, and is the only way to achieve results. Posting in the forums does not.

It sounds like you expect instant action, which is never going to happen. Infractions super-rarely happen the instant of a report, but they do happen.

Yeap, I have a person who is abusive with their words, every time I am matched up with them, not towards me personally, but towards other players, if you are opposite them he/she would call names and mock in an abusive way. So today I told them off in map chat, before match start, because he/she was quarrelling with another players, I knew it because this player I hadn’t blocked said: for crying out loud, stop being so angry. I have all the screenshots. So I said: just block them for peace of mind, then the following few games he/she started throwing the game when ever they are matched up with me. screenshot all the way.

Had another similar players, who said they going to make tea now, after abusing our team mesmer with means words.

reported them all but nothing happened. Not only that, they keep popping up in my match! Fun time when they are opposite me, bash them good :P

Like steelheart.7386 below said, anet isn’t doing anything because this abusive players mocked and laughed, : “good luck my man” was their reply, after 2 persons say to report them for being idle.

(first abusive person was in a course of several days, today they were body shaming a player who choose to play a male norn, asking them if they were “fat in real life”)

I donĀ“t know if something is done to those players. Anet should post weekly/monthly reports clarifying all players what has been doing: “Month X we suspended 200 players for 1 hour for afk during pvp, banned 50 accounts, etc.”
By so doing, we all know that toxic chat, abuse, cheating, exploit, etc. are being punished. Otherwise, we feel like nothing is being done.

Believe it or not because you think something crossed the line doesn’t mean A-net thinks so. Also, they don’t have the time to investigate every single report against a player. It takes multiple reports from different sources to get someone investigated and possibly banned. It does happen so keep reporting but if you really think someone has manipulated a match or crossed the line try getting everyone in the match that agrees to file a report. They aren’t going to ban people on a couple of reports that could be easily abused.
