After the update you will need 1111500 exp (271500 until level 38 + 42*20000) to level up to dragon, 8 times less exp. 1111500exp is in the actual rank level 53 + 15000exp. People are complaning that this exp is to low because everyone will have it. According to devs the Dragon rank shows your expirence (IMP. not your skill, leave that to the leaderboards, tournaments and future league or seasons??) in pvp. The real question is, how much time you need in spvp, to be experienced in spvp matchs? According with the actual rank, no one is really experienced and knows spvp really well (i really doubt, most people that i play know everything about all maps and the strategies that most people use in that maps…. does not mean they are pro, or they are all in leaderboards, but again rank is not about skill. Let’s put this situation you are really good, and have a pro team (like votf, 55hp, cheese mode…) and you win every match. You play 4hours every day and you do 5 tournaments per hour. Doing math again, you will win every day 30000exp (keeping simple, i am just using the team queue wins bonus 1500 exp). So you will need 741 victories that you will achiev in 37days, to be considered a experienced player and lets be realist, this number multiply easily (no one wins every tournament, most people wins 50% of the tournaments), most people do 3-4 tournaments per hour, most people dont play 4h per day doing the same thing…. My point is that this new exp is enough to show that you are experienced in spvp, you will know all the maps, the tactics, the respawn time of bufs and beasts… Now about the phoenix guys… first some of them aren’t “legit” (you know what i mean…), second your reward is the skins you unlocked (like runic blade/infinite light). If the phoenix guys wants to be the new dragons, because they dont agree with the new revamp in the ranks, all i have to say to devs and phoenix guys is…. i like the new system and works well with the new reward system and if dragon rank needs to mean something just cap rank to phoenix, you can be level 80 but you are not dragon unless you won esl or other tornaments. Otherwise if it needs to mean i know the maps and the tactics, the time you need to get the new limit exp for dragon rank is enough. Also don’t forget, devs spoke about a “season” in spvp, that is the place where you gonna get your fame in spvp. This is just my opinion, you can agree or disagree, i just think that spvp isn’t just about time but about skill that comes with time and experience, and a Dragon rank…. does not shows that, it just shows the time that you spend in the spvp game, but does not show what you learn in that time. At the moment what shows that is the tournaments and the leaderboards (not perfect… but works better than rank). I am not saying you shouldn’t be rewarded by the time you invest in spvp mode, i am saying that shouldn’t be a specific reward that rewards more the time that the skill (like the actual rank, most of the guys in “pro teams” are not phoenix and some of them are very far from it).
Doing some math with the new ranks
Hit the enter key. kitten .
Two players who have played the same amount of time aren’t necessarily as skilled as each other, thus the ranking system changing is fine. That’s all you had to say.
