Don't +1 your condition chrono
Rule nr.1 of soloq: assume all your teammates are potatoes and lose all fights.
It is not offense towards the players but it is mentality you should bring to soloq. You cannot rely on teammates unless you know them well.
Also, i can win 1v1 vs most mes on thief. If you don’t get help, chances are you will die and lose point.

This, but i thought people already learned in their first mmo’s, that 95% of the people around you are complete carebears that dont know how to optimize their play, both pve, achievements and pvp, anything basicly.
It has been so in every multiplayer online game i ever played from everquest 1, quake 1 etc to what we have today.
Even if they are ok players, people just dont think alike most of the time, hence why voice is so good.
Maybe they could add a nice ingame voice system actually, it can be a blessing and a curse, but the games i played that had it, it was put to good use.

If it is staff thief, then I can bait.
If it is dp thief, I am relatively confident to win unless he is just too much better.
I mean if I can’t survive a thief as a mesmer. Then I pretty much lost the game for my team because there is simply no answer. Some one can +1 me, but then the thief can leave and create outnumbered situation elsewhere. If I leave that guy to 1v1 the thief, the thief can always follow me.
That is pretty much why power mesmer was bad in pre-HoT.

I think this pretty much falls into the “learn to rotate” category. Admittedly rotation is not my strong suit. So much to learn, so many pototoes. lol
But seriously, so many players don’t watch the mini map or the team health bars. Before making a move anywhere, I look at the map, look at health bars. Lack of map & situational awareness is a big issue for many players. Myself included at times.

I am too tired to tell my teammates this. But they still love to +1 me so much.
Condition chrono is a strong 1v1er against many classes. But 2v1 is pretty meaningless unless you are a thief who can capitalize on a moa. Chrono is not good at chasing down and burst down targets so you won’t be able to guarantee a kill by +1. This will be bad for your team in general.
Evening a fight to 2v2 with chrono is even worse. It is easy for chrono to kite 1v2 and portal juke. But if you even a fight to 2v2, it makes life much harder. The build is simply not strong in a 2v2. It doesn’t have enough damage when there is support. 2v2 also means much more cleave to eliminate clones. It is simply a unwinnable fight when chrono is facing healer tempest, druid or DH in a 2v2.
As I mentioned earlier, the only exception is probably thief. Even revenant is not good enough after the damage nerf.
What makes you think your team wants or even needs a strong 1v1er?
What most teams NEED is an advantage. +1 is an advantage.
1v1 is just a stalemate. Which leaves 4v4 on the rest of the map. Still a stalemate. You did your team a favor by engaging in a stalemate? I don’t think so.
2v1 is an advantage that can remove an opposing player from the map. That means 5v4. That’s an advantage
Where are you providing an advantage? Because from my experience, players like you – who leave their team shorthanded to go 1v1 on a point they don’t really need, and then never rotate form that spot – have NEVER been advantageous to a team.
I’ve stayed at this party entirely too long
Really, OP?
As a Druid, I will always +1 or even out a 2v2 fight with a Mesmer. Why not, it’s better than standing on an uncontested point and twiddling thumbs.
Don’t you think Mesmer and Druid pair well? I can bounce a Mesmer up, almost indefinitely if it gets downed. Mesmer has to be the easiest ally to raise as Druid. Both are tanky, and can mess you up fast if you get immobilized.
The only time I leave a mes to itself is if it is farting around on far at a bad time.
