While I agree not to balance yet, you just yelling at players to L2P won’t help. Unless you’re rank 35 in a tpvp team you can’t tell others they are bad.

I am getting sick of people saying the Necro is fine just because they do well or they see Necro’s do well with the Condition build.
Not saying your doing this but so many people come on saying how the Necro is just fine because they do well with one build. Sure I have no problems 1v1 most Prof on my Necro and that’s running a number of different types of Condition builds. This does not mean the game is balanced.

I wish i could leave it at that, but i guess i should make it constructive. I believe that there are certain boons and mechanics that could use some toning down despite how bugged or crappy another class may be.

no one said necromancer is not playable and too weak. necromancer has too many bugs and useless traits.
I fought an Ele in a 2v1 (in my favor) battle multiple times and couldn’t take him down, even when I was playing as a thief.
Was the Ele’s name Luilas? His ele is pretty buff, I normally watch him fighting in a 1 v 2 or 1 v 3 and not dying. Which is ridiculous since he only has 14k hp.

Most players would agree that Elementalists, Engineers and Necromancers are weak classes right?
Actually most people seem to agree that ele’s and engi’s are pretty good (with engi’s being on the higher end towards ‘great’). Hell take a look at the informal poll of people’s views on where each class ranks for TPvP compared to each other. Engi’s are pretty high up on most people’s lists. I thought engi’s from just looking at them would be fairly ‘meh’ but after making mine I realized that they are amazingly strong when built properly.
I run a dual pistol condi-bomb-grenadier with perma vigor and 90% uptime of swiftness as well. I have access to 3 aoe blinds, 3 aoe snares, burning/bleeding/poison stacking on demand, 2 aoe knockbacks, regen, 2 heals (1 is a small aoe), continual self buffs, and condi removal on demand (plus a stun break). There is never any time I have to use my “auto-attack”. It’s friggin’ amazing and I love it dearly. Got the idea to really dive into my engineer after growing dissatisfied with how vanilla and 1-trick warriors are and seeing AC-erho play his engineer in tourney’s.
Also AC-Zamoa (sp?) inspired me to roll my ele because of how powerful they are when played at peak performance. Again because of the mechanics it works like the engi where there’s never a need to auto attack and I always have an option to go to, be it healing, aoe, blinds, stuns, knockbacks, condi’s, escape tools, etc. The sheer versatility offered at any moment makes the class absolutely amazing once you start mastering the stance dancing (helps having done stance dancing on my prot war, bear shaman and chosen *WOW, AoC, WAR respectively).
Necro’s are kind of in that funky place with wars though… there’s a kind of viability there but it really seems to be a gimmicky 1-trick pony crap and that’s just….. lame tbh when you start comparing it to the other classes.

My recommendation to ArenaNet is to listen to complaints on the forums but don’t act on them yet. In every single multiplayer game, players complain about class imbalance and they are almost always wrong about it.
When Starcraft 2 first came out, everyone was crying that Terrans were op but Blizzard did not rush out and nerf/buff everything in sight. Eventually players developed new strats and learned to use their units to maximum potential.
The same applies to Guild Wars 2. I see a LOT of complaints about certain classes on these forums, particularly about thieves, mesmers and guardians. The solution isn’t to nerf them and buff the other classes – this will create a huge mess.
I play mostly as a dual pistol thief and I am on par with any other class in a 1v1 situation. Heartseeker and Pistol Whip are problems right? There are ways to avoid these.
Guardians are hard to kill depending on their build but that’s the point of the class! If they have a super tanky build they can’t out dps you!

I’m seeing more and more Engineers and they are dominating. I have a friend who plays as a Necromancer and actually plays it with a high level of skill. He could take me out in a 1v1 confrontation for sure.

Well in sc2 Terran is and was the best race still is and and when SC2 release terran was very strong until they ended up buffing the other 2 races. so this point is mute.
i did not read you whole post but i read the end and you attacked an elly speced defensively no doubt. well no one is crying that elly cant tank they are one of the most tanky class types in the game if spec’ed for it along side guardian and engi…
the prob with Elly “is” but not excluding ability’s like Dragons tooth were you have no to very little control as to if it will hit its target. this is not a fair factor for the elly. so the offensive elly has the right and should be looked at in this regard the support defense elly is fine, as far as we know.
as far as Necro and Engi being weak or bad,.. your getting that info from bad players don’t do that its not good for you.
if you asked anyone with a advanced gaming background they would tell you Necro is fine and Engi is fine, i think some things will be twink and changed with both necro and Engi,. but no more than i would think any other class will get changed. if i had to pick any class that i feel could be put in a better place would be warrior’s.
HB’s don’t cut it “Zing”=). i as a guardian feel sorry for warriors and HB’s stand out so bad its very easy to deal with now a days. Its the best burst spec they have anything else damage wise and its better to just take a Thief.
they can use 2 hand hammer but again its a second hand pick to another class like engi or guardian again.

Edit: About the StarCraft 2 balance changes: Most complains were about stimpack and the terran bio ball, which wasn’t nerfed. They even ended up nerfing Protoss Void Rays and Zerg Ultralisks.
It’s funny people people complain about one thing but the stats show something completely different.

Fair enough this line to me i took as you had this stand point and felt the community was on the same page as you in this area

Just the fact that some stats like Protection and Regeneration potentially breaks the game.
