Really? I solod up to plat. Then I duo qued for the first time this season and started getting massive rating losses when losing and dropped 2 tiers. Went back to soloq and moved right back. Do note the guy I qued with is skilled I’ve ran alongside him
In wvw for years. He is however 2 tiers below me since he hasn’t played many games this season.

I’ve been on the polar opposite. Keep getting matched with bad teams.

Soloed up to plat 2, dropped down to gold 2 by solo q. It’s very volatile. Also duo queuing with bronze/silver players is terrible because you lose a lot but gain little.

I agree with this so much. Yes, I did get to legend with pure solo queue but after that I dropped to 1750 rating and then got all the way back to legend only to drop out of the top 250 again. This shows that solo is just down to luck. I just go up and down the leaderboard constantly when I solo and that is so frustrating.

From now on I am not going to solo at all this season. You are putting yourself at a disadvantage when you do. When I duo I have a 70-80% win rate, sometimes more and when I solo that win rate is about 60% which is not high enough to stay in legendary. It just helps so much.

I’m not too worried about climbing anymore, I just want my loot.

To do that I need to win, and to do that it’s que with people I know can fight wether they are gold, silver or bronze.
