I was wondering the communities feedback on a certain “characteristic” of the downed state. I was running in a hot join match as a conditionmancer, enjoying what most conditon necros do, which is throwing an obscene amount of bleeds and other conditions around in a team fight.

Again and again a small, very small peculiarity struck me. No matter how I tried to ignore it, it’s irksome head popped up again and again. When a person goes into the downed state their conditions and buffs get purged.

My question to others are, do you think this is a successful addition to the downed mechanic? If you could switch it what would you do? Only purge buffs? Only conditions? and what would the implications of conditions or buffs remaining on being downed would have on direct damage and spiking?

That’s because fighting back in downed state would be even more ridicously hard than it already is, what with every class having a way to gi(m)p finisher interruptions etc.

So no, don’t implement it. It’s realistic that your conditon should only worsen when you can’t even stand anymore, but realism can go **** itself. It’s better this way – One way to solve it however would be to let conditions stay but make it so bandage purges one condition per sec.

Haven’t had a problem with it. As a condition build, I’d imagine it’d be easy for you to re-apply bleed. If enoumous stacks of bleed remained when the foe was downed, I’d imagine that condition builds would get really scary. Like possibly making it so condition builds could undermind downed.
