As soon as the cele amulets are removed and bunkering on point with endless distortion or whatever immortality stuff you put on yourself to hold mid, druids will become one of the most OP builds in spvp. specifically marauder with a longbow. we already have OP pets that can be buffed to 25 stacks of might and hit equally as hard as our rapid fire, as well as a constant supply of FULL condi clear when you pop Celestial avatar form AND a stun break. when i play in a fight, be it 1v1 or teamfight, i have my CA on COOLDOWN cus i simply regenerate too quickly. the focus fire is over the top on druid already, as we can command our pets easily enough to effectively deal tons of dmg. the only way you can prevent a complete burst down where you go from 80% to 0 in 4 sec is if you block projectiles at the exact right time, and then do it again 8 seconds later.. then 8 seconds later again… otherwise youre going to die. to proc pet burst all we do is change pet, pop shout elite, and watch enemy burn. not to mention we can get ourself sustained 25 stacks of might every 48 seconds easily as well as PULSING stability that lasts for just about 15 sec. so boon corruption isnt going to help you much with the stab at least. and if things go wrong, just pop CA , daze, heal, and stealth to replenish.
once theres only about 1 bunker on each balanced team, druids will simply destroy everyone.

Druid won’t be that op without Celestial amulet tbh. It’s what gave them so much sustain in 1v1’s

Maruaders probably won’t even be meta, but we will see. My guess is shout tank druids with something like clerics or a new hybrid dps/defense amulet will be meta LoL.

Druid is indeed too strong atm.
But keep in mind that druid will become much weaker without cele and that druid has huge problems when he gets +1 in a powerbased meta by a thief/dragonhunter.
So I wouldn’t judge now without knowing the new meta and without knowing the whole balance patch.

EDIT: Marauder will probably be one of the worst amulets a druid can use.Even the sustain of a marauder scrapper is as twice as much

I tried hard not to laugh, but druids are going to get eaten alive, once they cant hold let alone win 1v1s in the upcoming (imo) meta.

Will druid be a strong 1v1 class and side node contester after the patch? Yes. Will druid be OP at high levels of play? Absolutely not. Druid will still have the same issues as it does now, namely limited team fight influence outside of small skirmishes and problems with being focused once stability is down. These are related to the way the class is designed and will not be impacted by the amulet or sigil changes. Marauder longbow druid will be the same kind of a build it is now – a low to mid-tier hotjoin build not viable in competitive matches.

I have to disagree aswell. Of course we don’t have the full patchnotes yet but looking at it thief and necro will be very strong.
Sure druid might still be great in 1v1 but will fall fast or has to run any time a thief or especially necro (or anything condi related) shows up to +1.

I don’t think so. Druid is strong on all the amulets they removed. I really don’t see it shining much without evasion sigils and celestial. They left crusader amulet, so we may still be viable with GS and staff. But, we certainly won’t be game breaking… Especially with Marauder, DH will be king of that, and I think AoE death circles, in general, will rule the day. Wells, traps, etc…

I think zerk longbow will definitely be able to chew through a lot of players, but considering how many projectile defense/reflects are now in the game in the post-HoT world, I don’t expect this to ever make a top tier build.

P.s. as a side note, however, it would be awesome to see a ranger spike team comp a la GW1 come back. I could see it now “1, 2, 3 SPIKE!” and then 3 rangers cast a might stacked Rapid Fire against one target, lol. Too bad there’s too much invuln for that to work in GW2. However, a venom share thief with the new basi venom could allow them to surpass blocks…hmm…

Squishie druid was never a problem.And pew pew doesnt work against most ppl u meet,as mendioned above,some clases virtually kitten reflects as side effects.Problem is tankie druid with dps of glass thanks to insane bristleback dps.What i mean is tank stats should mean you just choosed survival/support over dps,but that doesnt work with such insane pet dps.Very broken.

They really need to change how pets are scaling with ranger stats or it will remain issue no matter what ranger runs.
