I have so much fun when im dueling 1v1 or 2v2 in wvw, and im so happy when i found someone who want to go fair 1v1 or 2v2 duel…. why anet, why u cant just make one easy pvp mode for this game ?? PvP in GW2 is almost dead, so WHY you didnt update pvp with such a small easy upate, it will bring sPvP to live again, this suggestion isnt because of dead PvP, but bacause DUELLING IN GW2 IS FUN !!!!

You will satisfy and please LOT of PvP/PvE/WvW fans….

There are custom dueling servers you can join if you’re really looking for some 1v1’s.

Just look on the hotjoin list and you’ll be able to find one usually

Dueling = fun, so no way you will find it implemented in spvp.

It is definitely on our list of things to do, I can’t say where on our list it is or respond with a release date until it is official. Please know that although we do agree that it is a feature players desire, we feel we have adequate ways for dueling to occur. If we were to bump this up on our list something else would need to get bumped down.

Well game is out for 1 year so we must to wait one year more for them to finish next 5 spvp maps and some balance things to move dueling into 1st place in their DO DO LIST ?

Yes, and its very funny you must to doing this way… i also must to buy ticket to be able to make my own 1v1 server… its sooo funny….

Yeah it’s definitely not optimal, but if you’re really desperate for some 1v1, you can always join a custom server, however inconvenient that may be.

They need to added dueling to the Mist and to the Open PvE worlds. Even though there are CA’s with dueling rooms, being able to duel in open world or in the Mists would create a lively and entertaining atmosphere for players of all skill levels. Also, a causal way to test builds, learn other profession mechanics and learn/practice how to counter them, meeting new players that can become future teammates, or just testing your own skills.

Don’t having an easy dueling option is a major reason why a lot of PvP oriented players frown at this game.

Every pvp, pve, wvw player must to want to duel someone, without this option its like : Okay, not today

its not major reason why lot of pvp players frown from this game but its really big element that should be there for EVERY player, its just small thing that make u happy and give u lot tof competitive fun too, i was always playing 1v1 dueal tournaments in wow, 3 wins = winner – next round

IMHO dueling is fun, but if one player is melee, the other is ranged, i feel like it will be unbalanced either way:

If you are dueling on a narrow point, the melee guy has an advantage.

If you are dueling on an open field, the ranged guy has an advantage. Especially with teleports.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like this?

(I admit I’m not patient enough to play duels… I tend to freak out or just stop thinking while fighting if either I mess the start or fight for too long :P)

Plenty of people play spvp, unless these are ghosts, its not dead.
I agree though, open world dueling would be incredible! The only problem I see with it is people might spam you with duel requests, and harass you if you dont accept.

There’s plenty of 1v1 servers, its not that inconvienent at all!

Dueling would only make players happy, so no, please arenanet give us more conquest mode maps, we just LOVE point holding.
