Dragonbrand sPvP/Wv3 ~Mesmer

What I think would work great is have a small section in the mist (like the training dummies/npc’s area already there) for the people to chat/spectate while testing specs on LIVE players. Once you enter the area a Dueling option is allowed. That way people who want to can, and the ones that dont wont be bothered. Keep it simple but fun for those late nights or days off work when most of your guild or 5v5 team isnt online. It also gives more of a social feal to it.
Fixing/saving the pvp in Gw2 has its priorities I am sure they are on it but after time and time logging in and seeing the mist just dead and chat vertually non-existant it just adds to the bordom feeling while waiting for Anet to find a cure for Gw2’s PvP cancer.
Liven it up by makeing Heart of the Mist more of a social/training lounge for the PvP community. If you are in between matches or arent going to be on long enough for tourneys you can still get your pvp-fix in.
The custom arenas are a great addition that I think I will love and will allow people to duel and practice in private but this idea will also fix the over-all feel to the in between or downtime involved with sPvP.
Just an idea something along those lines would be a great add and of course come in a few down from the top of things needed but I would love to hear thoughts on this.

Because the revenues brought in from pvpland cannot even begin to compare with those generated in pveland —> lack of attention and resources for the former --> slow and often random skill balancing (based-off complaints and feedback from non-pvp zones such as WvW) —> playerbase dwindles due to boredom and continuous disapointment over the state of affairs --> dead zone.
But you knew that already.

I agree with OP. I’d love to see a small dueling arena in the Mists.
We used to have a “dueling ground” in AoC with dozens of people watching and challenging each other. Sort of a Fight Club. It was both fun and good testing ground for builds and techniques, even though the classes were not really balanced for that. I used to go there just to watch ppl dueling it out. Would work perfectly in the Mists and liven it up.
