I have practiced watched videos and improved done all you have suggested since the season started but unfortunately cant carry whole teams and with MMR tanked I cannot show my improvement – and oh yes – it is a team game no matter how good an individual is!
I think we all are aware that a lot of players are stuck but deserve it and just need something to blame it on.
However, if you actually had bothered reading one of the threads you linked this in, you would have realised the actual existence of mmrhell has been statistically proven.
It is a fact that the algorithm keeps players down, tho its just a minority.
You may want to consider that your ‘L2P point of view is just as biased as their ’blameMMR’
It is called the ‘fundamental attribution error’ or the ‘actor-observer bias’ and both groups in this most senseless discussion are suffering from it, as well as probably half a dozen other biases.
This thread is complete garbage. Sure if you are the best player in the game you might be able to hard carry any match. The problem is not everyone is the best player, all people want is fair matches where you are actually placed with other players of same skill level fight other team who are about the same as your team.
The match making clearly states better mmr players WILL be gped vs players who have lower mmr. It’s not rocket science that blowout is the norm. in theory it should only take a week or 2 for people to be sorted out via win streaks. The FACT is the season is almost done and win streaks and lose streaks is STILL the norm.
MM is just bad, i can see from start who wins or loses in most of the games. Usually one team will be scared to go mid, or will wipe in 10s and that is done. A few games recover but those are exceptions.

This is pretty much what I experience… I go to cap close in the beginning (let’s say), all others will go mid (let’s say) so I cap it and start going towards mid (let’s say) by the time I get there all 4 of them are dead, and all enemies are at, or near full hp. At that point I pretty much know that this will be another 500-50 game

I think you misunderstand. Those ppl that claim to be in mmr hell (that 4.5%) say that they are so much better and they lose because they are grouped with bad players, etc, etc. I do not claim to be good, I am probably just as bad as my teammates (maybe) but then I would like to play against other similarly bad players, have a game where equally bad players play together versus another group of bad players, so they can have a good game. When one team destroys the other team in seconds without any loss is clearly not a case like this. In this case a clearly superior team was put against a vastly inferior team and that is just a fact.
I have exactly 50% win ratio, the system forces that on me. I made an alt account and got to legendary in 2 days but my main account is bottom of ruby due to MMR.
I get halfway through ruby, then I get team mates who afk and I lose all my PIPS before I get competent team mates again until I get halfway through Ruby and the process repeats again.
All games are blow outs, win or lose.
I’m not a pro, but I know I shouldn’t be bottom of Ruby, I made the alt to check this fact. What’s worse, is my alt account in Legendary has worse team mates than I do in Ruby.

Helseth always thinks he’s carrying. But if you watch his games he’s usually running around all match. He hardly ever kills anything. So his team is fighting 4v5 most of the match and all he does is shout at his team, put ports and yells “free kill” when he uses moa. If anything he is being carried.

This is more like half the games you are in. The way the matchmaking system is designed it creates this situation.

the 4.5% of the model analisis in the other post is just a “ideal” situation, now put in the game alt acounts of “pro”, better players that starts the league after, the average mmr of the new ones that can carry them to a league greatter than her real skill, teams of one of your mmr and her noob friends, and …..
and that 4.5 increases dramatically
this mm states that they can bring in a few weeks an ideal situation where players are layered in div by her skill and then ofer equilibrated matches , but they cant

carrying: what a joke a player can be carried if he teams up whith a superior team who can 4v5 the match but one single cant do 1v5 cap points and defend while the others just stay in respawn point. if one can really do this, yes, he is carrying the team. if not, he is only the MVP doing more than the other but no all the job

a fair sistem is: aprox same mmr versus same mmr or same div versus same div in teams made by pure random not a bad mix of the two

I hoped we were through with the topic. The current mmr has under ideal settings an error-rate of 4.5%. This is proven on an empirical model. Under non-ideal settings, the error-rate will quiet likely go up. It has not yet been tested. Thus, you can put a pro-league player into mmr-hell and he will not get out of it.
Furthermore, there are lots of reports about people with loss-streaks. The matchmaking(mm) is designed the way that you first have a win-streak and afterwards a win/loss-ratio of roughly 50%. Go through the foum yourself and count the cases. They must not occur in the case of working mm.
Yes, it is right. There are some players in the forum who won 99 games in a row and then lost 1. Afterwards, they come here and cried about the bad mm and mmr-hell. Of course they cried for nothing.
Yes, I also admit that the mmr-model sounds great. However, it sounds great in theory. The practice has shown its flaws. megilandil.7506 pointed some out. I will leave the rest to your imagination.
When you think you are capable of carrying a team, then make the test. Create a team and let 4 persons go afk. Please show me the video if you win! If you dont win (what I assume), try it with 3 persons afk, 2persons and 1. Then you know how many “bad” teammates you can carry. So please, whoever wants to post that you just have to “learn to play”, do your homework. I am entirely sick of reading such posts!

What if you are matched in a team with Thief from the edge of the world with leeto skill but with 500 +ms ping which result in far feeder.
