I watched the past esl (Better than most) and was pretty amazed at how strong both radioactive and looking like a qt were, but then abjured came in and rolled qt. This seems to be the case each week, but the roster on qt seemed really promising. What makes this difference? I saw a lot of rampages, clutch res, and some really cool thief play on both sides, but maybe as a community we can help other teams with some suggestions to help improve their play. What helped qt take down radioactive? What helped abjured take down qt?

Practice, I think qt is very new and was also their first ESL if I’m not mistaken. With practice as a team they will get better over time.

qt has just returned with almost zero practice (team orientation/organization) and abjured scrims very often.

That said Abjured skill level is just higher than any NA team, their players are the best in what they play, phanta ele, toker thief, nos necro, chaith engi, wakkey ele/warrior.

With the best players and also practice you have The Abjured, an excellent team with excellent players.

Their team synergy is the best in NA. Not individual skill level unless, of course, you’re refering to rotations and overall map mechanic. In which case i’m inclined to agree.

Abjured has a reliable roster. As a result, they have a lot more experience working with each other. Instinctively responding to teammates actions gives them a huge advantage.

Radioactive has been playing with subs the past few weeks. It seems like every other team on NA besides Radioactive and Abjured was put together the week before and typically dissolves within two weeks.

I don’t want to boost their ego anymore than it is, but abjured has the strongest team because it is made up of some of the very best players. There comes a point when the strength of a comp will not beat the outright skill and rotations of a better team. Abjured has no problem kicking teammates that they feel are under-performing, they also scrim more then any other NA team.

On the other hand, Apex, Cunning stunts, Radioactive (my team), and QT are all pretty much equal in many respects. Each week a different team takes second (typically) and games between these teams are reallly close and can make for very fun matches to watch.
