[EU]Academy Gaming Cup, a 5v5 Tournament made by and for the Community!

We started this tournament with the intention of bringing more teams into the competitive scene within Guild Wars 2. We look to offer teams a place to practice as a group, while experiencing a legitimate tournament environment. Our goal is that teams will use us as a stepping stone to improve and move on to genuine ESL weeklies

• Check-ins: 6:00pm BST / 7:00pm CEST / 5:00pm UTC

• Free to enter + Prize Pool with gems + Mini Llama’s if you got into RO8! (1 mini per week)
• Best of 3 (BO3) through whole Tournament

The sign ups for the next tournament will open upon completion of this weeks tournament!

There are many ways you can contribute:

• donate gold for the prize pool, as a return, we offer the sponsors to have their team’s/guild’s emblem/logo on our Shoutcast Overlay. Individuals will be acknowledged in our Shoutcast if they want or ask to stay anonymously.
• Have a website? We have a wonderful banner you could display on it. http://i.imgur.com/EdDQFwK.png
• Are you a Streamer? You can host our tournament on your channel.
• You can’t be online during Saturday? You can always talk about our tournament on your videos/streams, we’ll talk about yours aswell.

This can be permanently done every 2 weeks or stay as a one-time donation, totally up to you!

You can do both aslong you didn’t win prices in one of them.

Meaning:

• You can sign up for the EU one
• If you got into first or second place in EU AG, then you’re not allowed to sign up for the NA one
• If you did not get into first or second place in EU AG, then you’re allowed to join NA

We do not yet support Free Agents in EU

Update, altered a rule not allowing teams that won ESL Weekly Cup not allowed to join AG.

New rule:

“Not allowed to join if you have won any cash/gem prizes in the Go4GuildWars2 Cups.”

What it means is that if you got into the finals of ESL Weekly Thursday due low amount of teams signing up and have luck with opponents being DQ’d/BYE, you’re still allowed to compete in AG IF you never won a Weekly Go4GuildWars2Cup OR a Monthly Go4GuildWars2Cup!

Our caster used to upload those onto his youtube channel but stopped doing it due lack of time and busy RL.

I know it would be easier for ppl if our Caster uploaded the games seperately but Im sure he will once he got time again!

New rules added for the time being:

• No more than 2 of the same class per team is allowed
• No Rune of Vampirism allowed on any elementalist due the bug causing down-hp to replenish

Those new rules will stay untill Elementalists are balanced and the bug is fixed

Note:

• Check-ins starting later from now on. You’ll be able to check in for 15mins. This is to counter the fact some teams are checking in very soon but end up 4/5 (no full roster) when the Tournament actually starts.

• Rune of Vampirism is banned on all classes in our upcoming Tournaments, untill the bugs are fixed

Although the Rune of Vampirism has been fixed, we decided, as a staff, to further ban the rune in our future Tournament.

We based our decision on the viewers and our own experience while spectating.
