A) Skyhammer ‘breakable-pannels’ color change to red when stood on, regardless if player is stealth or not.

*Reason: Visually assist players from stealth pulls

B) Edge of Skyhammer ‘breakable-pannels’ glow red when the pannels are shattered.

*Reason: Visually assist players from accidental falls

C) Instead of falling to the ground, players now fall into a vortex and are hit by ‘shrapnel’ during the fall taking a 40% hp loss. If the player survives the shrapnel they are teleported to their home base without being classed as a kill and with no rez timer.

*Reason: Being knocked off the map is currently ‘op’ – so to speak. Not only are you hit with insta death + cost your team 5 points + rez timer wait & chances are you will lose the point.

To ‘nerf’ this function surviving the fall now means you bypass death saving 5 points and putting you straight back into the game.

The damage from the fall is requied to stop players exploiting the function by jumping off the edge if they are losing a fight.

D) The ‘hammer’ no longer knocks players down but instead causes 1/4sec (example) daze.

*Reason: You can’t dodge it and it does a great deal of damage so this is a simple nerf to give players a fighting chance. Also being knocked down is just flat out annoying.

E) The ‘hammer’ no longer instantly breaks panels but it does active them as if someone had stood on them.

tldr: minor skyhammer ‘nerfs’ to bring the map inline with others and take out the frustration without affecting the unique mechanics the map offers.

all this effort when they could just separate trollhammer from normal queues,
let the trolls queue for their map separately to the rest of us.

remove trollhammer from hotjoin and solo queue and add a new separate queue for it.
problem solved, trolls keep their map, the rest of us never need to play on it ever again.

A) Return Breakable panels back to original design of being NON-breakable, or remove entirely (Around A/C points only).
B) Like the idea
C) Interesting idea, but with removing the easy access to cheese kills via A, no need for this adjustment.
D) Hammer needs to be dodgable + size of the blast reduced by ~10%-15%
E) Again back to removing breakable glass entirely.

Reason for A) It does not encourage good play, just cheese, in my opinion, “Exploiting” of map terrain using certain classes is a bad thing for sPvP, talking tournament only! hotjoin is just free for all kitten about mode.

Suggestions are definitely an improvement. The map on the other hand will never be a competitive map (the concept of falling-down and CC offers too much of a chance to abuse builds and abilities), therefore shouldn’t be in SoloQ.

The fact that A-Net refused to take out the Trollhammer map is defnitely a big let-down for the competitive crowd. Another step into the casual-crowd.

if there were no panels and u could dodge hammer skyhammer wouldnt b bad at all.
& i like the falling off doesnt kill u unless ur under 40%
then its more about winning the fight then hitting them off rather than cheeze stealth pulls thru panels.

they really should just remove the panels from the side nodes, and I could see it as a good map. still allows meta builds to win then, while allowing some knockoff builds to contest the actual hammer and have a chance of trying to push people off the edge (which is a bit more challenging than stealth pull on to glass, and lets others position themselves easier from those builds). Also they should allow you to evade hammer shots. Just my 2 cents

I like some of the suggestions. Here are mine:

1. Hammer is dodgeable. This makes it still kill pet builds (almost universally reviled unless you play one) and force a dodge but doesn’t instantly win a fight. Dodging the treb at Khylo makes it strong but very balanced.

2. Fewer breakable panels. Its good to emphasize positioning more, but it just leads to very low-risk knock-back spam builds that can win very easily. It really discourages real fighting and just supports spamming CC.

3. Nerf immobilize – not really map-specific, it just stinks anyway.
