I had been thinking about Forgal Kernsson making an appearance since Tybalt was introduced but now I would prefer Eir.

Maybe edit the thread title with SPOILER and hide Eir’s name.
I already know what happens to Eir, but there may be some players who don’t.

For that matter, I was actually surprised at Tybalt becoming a Stronghold champ because that too is a spoiler.

I’d rather not have any future champions be major characters who died in the story portions of GW2.
So I guess that leaves mainly GW1 characters.

We don’t have any mage-like champs, so the idea posted above of Khilbron is nice.

Mhenlo, Cynn, Koss, M.O.X., Khilbron, Shiro, Glint (with unique mechanics like have to summon twice before appearing but being totally kitten). Basically any main story-line hero/villian from Guild Wars 1. Also the other mentors need to be made as heros.

Edit: Though the best would be Gwen who is a mesmer but has a tiny chance of being a crazy pyro kid that just kills everything.

i would like to have kormir as a hero :^)

Another one that might be interesting is the Demonic Fortune Teller that led Shiro to insanity.
…I wonder if it’s possible to ‘taunt’ Shiro-channelling Revenants against their own team?

Gonna get hate for this, but traherne? I mean, recently killed off, check, necromancer, so he can summon minions(no minion or at based champion yet), check, can tie up a few loose ends with story maybe, check. Also, “I have a bad feeling about this” could be an effect that causes your lord to gain an enrage timer. If timer ticks down, friendly lord enrages, regening to full health, and gaining high might stacks. Traherne would have to stay alive the whole duration of the timer…

Anyways, I think it would be cool, but at the same time, I don’t think that there is a single anet dev who could survive the wrath of twitch chat long enough to announce it on guild chat.

You could add the core professions. Sacrificed on the altar of power creep. Maybe make a special mention for the Warrior.

Although I feel that the “heroes” of the GW2 story tend to be tertiary cannon fodder (yes, that includes Tybalt), I’d love to see more nods to the original GW1 heroes I played with for years.

Zhed Shadowhoof, Pyre Fierceshot and Razah are my favorite choices for PvP because, they’d bring some diversity to the racial profile while not being as obvious as Gwen or Rurik. I’d also love to see Talon Silverwing or some other great Tengu on the roster.

To Cyhann.2609’s point of having a defensive hero, I think future heroes should be available to support all 3 aspects of the game mode: offense, supply and defense. This, of course, should be obvious to a game designer for balance reasons. Plus, it would add much needed variety to matches, especially with such a lack of maps for the game mode.

If I had to pick a GW2 hero it would be Fen, the Giant from kittenattler Caverns.

I also think it would be brilliant to add heroes that represent the racial sympathies available in the personal story (Grawl, Hylek, Ogre, Quaggan, Skritt) as these things are made to seem important to new players who play the story. This would be a nice nod to those who don’t specialize in “PvP-only” while also adding a facade of relevance to a neglected aspect of the game.

The same could be said for creatures that are often tamed and used by the player races, such as Siege Devourers.

I’m for the return of Eir in game, PERIOD! Worst story idea and implementation in GW2. Bring her back as an explanation for the Celestial Avatar. Then Gibb smack the Dev who thought of it and whomever green lit it.

For Stronghold, yes I’d like her as a hero too.

I would laugh so fricking hard if they added Scarlet. She would absolutely need her “Die Die Die” chant at some point, just for the reaction.

In order of priority.

1. Pyre Fierceshot
2. Koss
3. Either of the two Norns at spawn in our WvW Borderlands who always claim to have hundreds of kills in WvW but never leave spawn.

The last one isn’t a joke pick either. I’m more serious than a condi shatter mesmer that just put 8 stacks of torment and confusion on you… then disappeared.
