Ele AoE is too strong at this moment! It ruin it for thief (AoE for thiefes is bad in general), and ruin it for mesmer aswell outside of chronobunker. And chronobunker is getting nerfed!

I feel a bit of a rage inside of me, every time that ele is running around spamming AoE, overload etc etc, killing all my clones instantly… And the dmg isnt low either…

This needs to be looked at! And i hope some dev also understand that this cannot continue!

I know many ele will rage now when i say this, but i stand by every word i say here. It causes huge problems for some classes, and its better to just nerf that then buff those who suffer!

Also ive seen people talking about removing cele amulet, and for me it is fine, but then ele need to get something else in return. Also considering a buff for ele hp, would be good here.

Ele overload has very HUGE tells, can u avoid it? that will fix your problem.

As a Mesmer/Thief, you can’t interrupt a 5 seconds channel overload?

Gray out the HP for future condition damage
Already quit PvP. Just log in here and there to troll.

Its not 1vs1 i talk about here. Its in group PvP mostly, and you cant target that ele all the time, when that rev or necro is on you etc. And since things should be balanced around group PvP, I think my concern is valid!

Lol, when people lose 1v1, they complain “PvP should be balanced around 1v1. My Thief can’t win a burn guard”.

When they lose a team fight (despite having a Mesmer spam alacrity/quickness/CC), they complain “PvP should be balanced around group play”.

I don’t think any decent Mesmer has a hard time interrupt the Overload channel with their multiple AoE CCs. You don’t even need to aim. Just throw the AoE covering the point. It is even pulsing.

Honestly, as a Main Thief, I have no problem with Ele’s AoE’s…

I cannot grasp why a Mesmer would have any problems as they have skills which allows them to stay on the point + cleans/heal from allies in teamfights..

However, Ele and Mesmer do need to be toned down a bit, together with rev, scrapper and Druid.

Nerf Frost Aura’s range of the chill application to 600 or 450 radius instead of unlimited range as it is.

Reduce Aftershock radius to 360, down from 600.

Reduce Air Overload radius to 300, down from 360.

Increase Fire Overload radius to 240, up from 180, increasing up to 300 upon completion.

Reduce healing to allies by 50% from Wash the Pain Away. But, increase first and second pulse to 240 and 360 radius, from 180 and 240, respectively.

Something like that, OP?

D/P + S/P is very good vs tempests with pulmonary impact. You can quickly win 1v1 against even decent tempests. VS everything else, this set-up tends to be subpar (lose manoeuvrability, still struggle to 1v1 other classes etc).

Well all these op meta needs to go, and in return they need to fix core specs for all classes! But Anet want people to buy HoT, so them fixing these things wont happen, atleast not very soon…

If you/your team allowed a Staff Ele to freecast on you, you deserve it.

Most people playing pvp in gw2 isnt even average or good, so blaming them for ele having op AoE, wont do much…

Ele AoE needs toning down, and other problems with the class fixed! Nobody like to be locket to one amulet (cele), iam sure there are others that “work kinda” aswell, but you get what I mean!

Not all mesmers are running chronobunk, and Its getting nerfed now anyway… When I played thief I had lots of problem with it, unless you +1 them!

And I still claim that If AoE in this game would eat a nerf, then group pvp situations would look better!

Worst part is when there are two ele “stacking” this, just running and AoE 24/7… gg brah, total espurtzzz skillzzz, be like… Its kittening me of, and make me suffer, alot!

The only AOE from ele that has superior impact is the lighning storm from air overload.
the rest is OK to weak. (Fire OL need a bit more radius, water OL is hard to use due to 5s wait). Aftershok is only very strong against rangers and dragonhunters. It has kitten CD which is very long … I donĀ“t realy use it often.
Cronomancers stop ele OL. The only OL possible is earth …. And especially in teamfights if i OL i am hit with CC…
