Since most of elementalists in PvP [core] problems come from sustain, I think this could aliviate by a lot the general problems we face;
Signet of healing; healing has to go up by A LOT, and by a lot I mean to make it as powerful as the one on warrior. Im not saying the same number, but if I decided to bring a skill that heal me on cast instead of dumbly over time, and I decided to blow CDs just for the heal, then I should be given that. A good amount would be 250 or 300, heck, even 350 would do it per cast.
Attunement switch; Equivalent of weapon switch. It shouldnt be better than weapon weapon switch, nor better than a warrior with 6 WPCD, but at the same time shouldnt be a handicap. 11 secs max, 7 secs min.
Base Health ; to 15k hp. Right now even non-bursty builds burst us. By bringing our hp on par with mesmers who have reliable ways of dealing with aggro we will be able to keep up with conditions and non bursty builds who burst us dow anyways. Of course were the other two changes to be implemented this wouldnt be so necessary, but I think this would bring the class as a whole to a better spot overall, specially the attunement part and the base health.

Just give mesmers your condi clear access to protection off a 5 pt minor trait and healing off of a dodge roll. Guards have low health because they have high armor and good healing.
Eles have low health because they have good healing and good access to boons and great condi clear.
Thieves have low health because they have evade spam and stealth.
Maybe anet should undo some nerfs instead. Or reduce the cd on armor of earth. Both would be good.
Also D/D cleric eles still make some good back bunkers or far point assaulters… They just don’t do as much damage as they once did.

The “attunements” switch could be improved in many ways, and the full CD is probably too long indeed.
I’m not sure if the suggestions below are completely balanced, but here you go:
1) I would like to see something around the lines of:
“The minor traits of each trait line also give 1s flat reduction to the recharge of the element they belongs to, on top of the current effects of the minor trait”
This means if you are 25+ in fire you get 3s reduc for fire, 25+ in earth 3s in earth etc.), and then arcana attunement recharge bonus should probably be reduced to 1% instead of 2%.
If I commit deep 30/30 into water and earth, I should be able to switch more often between those two.
2) Another thing I would like to see is that if I have switched earth attunement for example, the attunement I am on currently (earth) should be sent on CD immediately so that I can press the same attunement some 10s+ later for triggering the attunement bonuses again (e.g. protection) – without having to swap to water or fire in between for example and being stuck in an inferior attunement for the current situation.
Of course if an ele swap attunements (moving from earth to water for example) then earth should be on a full cooldown of 10s+ regardless of its state (off CD or not when I was still on it) so that it is not allowed to switch and come back immediately to the same attunement.

Did you just say that eles have a dodge heal and protection of a 5 minor point trait? Do you even play eles?! 30 points arcana AND then being in water attunement is the only way for that heal, on a 9 seconds cooldown. The reason it is said our condition removal is good is because ether renewal, because other than that we have about the same amount of condition removal as anyone else. Heck, a mesmer can have the same if not more with removing conditions on shatter, and let me tell you that if you say " but then you do no damage cuz that tree!" Well, we arent in any better shape, water/arcane isnt exactly our dps tree and unlike you we spent 50-60 points whereas you spent only 30
I agree with @Jportell
To increase ele healing would be dead wrong, not only we would see a return of the cleric amulet trolls but also the real problems of the ele will not be solved.
Other professions need toning down, condition spamm in this game is too rampant, necro and ranger auto-attacks are over the top and need to be nerfed hard, reduce stun skills on warrior.

I don’t want more healing. I want my mobility back so I can be the hyper mobile mage assassin the d/d kit was obviously meant to be.
RTL back to 20s/1200 range or maybe back to even 15s and 900 range instead……15s @ 1550 range or what ever was op but 40s cd is a joke.
Just this and nerf healing signet, stun duration sigils , and condi spam instead …. don’t need more over buffs to classes.
Out of all the nerfs and fixes to the class the RTL one made me the saddest. A friend of mine who also mains an ele said he felt like he got the tip cut off of his….well, you get the idea. And maybe 28 seconds instead of 40 would have been more of a “shave.”
