Seriously Elementalist needs a debuff. The heal the world of all sickness situation were in right now is crazy especially in stronghold. Is there any way to make Diamond Skin go away after like 90%like before because 75% is crazy. Also if not that then -33% on all heal skills for ele.

Either will do the job because right now its over blown and broken class play type.

Ele’s dmg is horrible compared to other classes, but they excel in support like healing and granting aura’s. Super glass thief takes care of eles easily.

We’ll gladly take a slight healing nerf once we get Celestial back. Right now, it’s our crazy high healing that’s keeping us alive and viable. And even then, it’s super easy to keep an Ele locked down and our long cast times are easy to interrupt. Ever wonder why all Eles run Earth/Water/Tempest? It’s because we have no choice. Without them, we’re too squishy. Plus, no other trait lines have as much synergy with Tempest. This is the result of terrible design. Eles become too weak is one area and too powerful in another. So instead of asking for Ele nerfs, ask for a rework and a Dev who knows what he’s doing.

For now, try learning about Eles and their counters. CCs and interrupts are a nightmare for us. Learn to use those at proper times. Interrupt all overloads (except Earth which should be dodged instead) and heals. Try to keep poison up as much as possible, or apply it when auras are on CD, which you can force with enough pressure. Don’t 1v1 them unless you have tons of interrupts. Thieves, Berserkers, DHs, Chronomancers can all force CDs with constant interrupts and/or condition pressure. Condition removal comes from auras, so high condition pressure eventually works.

Every time i start playing a new class the forums start saying they’re OP. When I was playing Rev – it was OP, when i was playing DH – it was OP, when i was playing Engi – it was OP, when i was playing Druid – it was OP…

Now Elementalist is OP? Now? I figured it out. I must be OP. Don’t worry though, I’ll start playing Necro so that class gets nerfed :P

First show me how you deal in 1v1 with any other classes that skilled legend players play. Some of them killing every necro in 5-8 sec without losing any health or you just can’t kill it with your condi as they outlast your condi damage easy mode. Its balanced for peoples not playing necromancer

If a necro has a healer next to them they can be deadly, but solo they are not much of a challenge.

The elementalist isn’t OP, but is really strong.
It have a solid support build and can survive longer than a large amount of other classes, but have a high level cap.
A team supported via might, heal and condi clear and auras by an ele can be insanely dangerous, much more than with the support of a necro or a revenant, also an ele can survive longer with different immunity or teleport skills, granting to him the time to heal or wait for his cd.

The actual “problem” is that the ele is struck into a support role and only few ele players like that. They was able to do Everything at the same moment with celestial or be a top dps with fresh air, and now they’re struck with a support build/elite spec.
There’s a lot of classes struck into specific builds but only few into specific roles. mainly necro and eles have the support role, in offensive or defensive ways, and they’re both at the bottom of the class tier for this meta. But they’re really useful if (and when) able to play they’re roles.

The ele is the best/only support class of the moment and that make it really strong.

this is the reason i hate it when anet listen to this players about nerfing classes. i mean Ele? really? also stronghold already will be deleted season 5 in ranked at least.
