Its 2 years already and not a single competetitive thing has happened ingame.
Its like 3rd season on WvW 2nd season of PVE and not a single season of PVP. WHAT THE TIGER!
Reset leaderboard put it on 8 week timer, stamp golden/silver/bronze dolyaks on one of your generic back items continue with all that zoo you got up to dragon BOOM 16 months of competition provided, a reason to at least join some que! This system would be so simple and bad that noone would even guess that it wasnt anets idea.

Of course there is those massive PVP tournaments that get almost as many views as some ginger chopping wood in runescape but its just an illusion cause none of top teams ever play teamque seriously and noone tries to get good at teamque, people dont form teams to play the game they form teams to play ESL weekly etc. And thats sad very very sad.

Feels like PVP is community are some apes for anet that just sit in cage running circles till they are needed for entertainment and are put in some half baked tournament.
Every single game out there makes tournaments for top teams to compete we need month of tournaments to even figure out who are top teams from the people we have left cause ingame top players sit in mists trying to figure out best way to color their gear while PVP is played only by newbies who still havent figured out that leaderboard doesnt give you anything at all.

I agree, stop focusing on all these major tournaments, and work on actually improving the pvp infrastructure. If you did this people would actually want to play pvp! Then you could have more people for your tournaments.

But whatever it’ll just fall on deaf ears, kittening in the wind as always.

But tournaments cost them 1 CM person, whom they probably pay $20 an hour.

Making real changes to the game requires good, talented developers, which costs money.

They don’t care Leeto. They actually don’t care. All you have to do is look at the Skyhammer situation in SoloQ to know they absolutely couldn’t give a kitten about any of us.

I would prefer them to remove sPvP and focus on WvW. Please make some of your player base happy at least, even if it’s not me.

Yeah, I read this as well and was like WOW ITS SO TRUE.

Don’t forget that sometimes one of these TOP players will sometimes enter SoloQ only to violently vomit after one match and log off.

I would say this thread is a bit exaggerated but dang, son! You brought up some great points! Hahaha

Not to complain, but they also choose their time for releases in some great manner. Now, when there’s nothing really happening on PC MMO market (Archeage is..well, khm..) – no releases. November, when milions of people will re-sub to WoW to try their expansion, anniversary and much more stuff – yea, perfect time to make an update -.- .

It’s so unappealing that I can’t even make myself do sPvP for the glorious armour that I want so badly. I preview it from wardrobe and use TP dyes instead.

You know I come read these forums about every 4 months or so, haven’t really played in over a year. Kinda jumped out about 6 months after playing and seeing absolutely 0 posts from devs and an ignore of the many write ups of suggestions that were made way back in beta.

Now I see they’ve put in about 3 of the 15 things that were popular suggested in beta that the game needed for basic infrastructure, and I see people still complaining about the exact same problems.

What is even more weird though, is I see the EXACT same names I saw crying almost 2 years ago who are STILL here complaining about the EXACT same problems they were complaining about when I quit 1 1/2 years ago. WHY ARE YOU STILL PLAYING THIS GAME?! I’ve been having TONS of fun playing other games. It didn’t take me 2 years to figure out that they were spreading lies about fixing things over a year ago. I saw through the lie back then, your all still sitting here expecting something to change and its kind of sad…

Basically every single automated monthly GvG tournament in GW1 had more glamor and excitement in it than all the tournaments that happened in GW2 from day #1 to today put together…

This game does many things right when it comes to pvp but it still needs a bit more TLC so it can truly be 100%. What I agree most of the OP was this statement “people dont form teams to play the game they form teams to play ESL weekly etc.” I agree with this very much.

2 years of pretty much complete ignoring. Maybe its time to stop supporting it?
