The bug occurs with mesmer as well isn’kitten It just rare to see anyone using condi transfer. (I mean rare on mesmer.)
If this applies to revenant’s copied conditions they might “fix” it.

Basically, if your conditions get applied to an ally. When that ally goes down, you rally if you were also in the downed state. So a necro redirecting conditions has to be sure to kill the guy he took the conditions from before killing the person he cast the conditions on. This obviously doesn’t affect 1v1, but its about team fights.
Ah, I never noticed that. I guess mainly cause I finish most of my opponents off.

Wow, really? If I’m running plague signet, I take conditions from my allies, am I really able to even know where those conditions came from? Is there a way to even know this, let alone be able to track it in combat? I’m pretty new to pvp and been playing signet necro — is this having a big impact on my teams?

The bug isn’t an issue with plague signet, since that would count as your teammate’s conditions (although enemies could rally off of your teammate’s death, if that were to occur). The issue is with condition transfers that were placed on you by enemies other than the enemy you target for transfer (or, I’m guessing, the enemy who triggers Putrid Mark).

Aww naw chap, only Tears of Joy back when my engie and other teammies would freeload on the generous rezzes. Now I just laugh and nod my head in disbelief why this hasn’t been resolved.

It’s fine coz this thread is recent. They get a hissy fit if old threads get bumped without adding any significant content to it. And we are trying to get their attention to fix a years old problem.

See, it’s cool when the enemy necro rezzes us but it totally sux when I rez them when Im on my necro. This bug wont let me have double standards!!!

Now I understand how sometimes I get rezzed even if my team is downed.
So this is where all the random rezzes come from. I think most people have experienced this but have no idea how it happened and just move on along without knowing.
Most mad thing when you actually about to win a 2v1 but the rally just gives 50% of HP back and ofc you will have no CDs left after downing 2 player…

I’m sorry you lack the capacity to recognize an obvious programming bug. In fact, I’m uncertain if you understand what this thread is even about judging by the vagueness of your comment.

Wow, I main necro and I had no idea about this bug! I did have a few recent instances of people mysteriously rallying as I was stomping them, but I always assumed that they just got a rally from someone they had fought before fighting me getting stomped elsewhere on the map.
Has this been tested? Is the bug reliably repeatable?

Lol. Condition transfers currently have a pretty hardcore bug, which is the entire point of this thread that you managed to miss somehow.
The situation is this: There are three players, A, B, and C. A and B are on the same team, and A applies conditions to C. If C then transfers those conditions to B, and both A and
B get downed, A will rally when B dies, despite being on the same team.
This is not, presumably, intended behavior.

Yes to both, unfortunately.
But I still await to some test if this happens with the mesmer condi transfer or not. If it does than the problem affects an another class too which would help a lot for the devs to find and fix the issue.
Yup, necro main here. I call this the “condi ricochet bug” because it is triggered by the transferring of condis back to opponents in team fight encounters. It’s been around for a long time but wasn’t as common during the terrormancer era.
This bug could really hurt our class in a big way and feel it needs immediate attention before it goes out of control.
This bug needs to be fixed, dunno what is anet waiting for…
And also, the transferred condis doesnt appear as your own damage (probably the same fact that makes this rally bug) and so you cant track it in your combat dialog, can we fix it too? ^^

If you have a premade team and are going against multiple necros, you can play a couple condi heavy builds and abuse this bug like theres no tomorrow so that hopefully, they fix it.

No. Once the projectile gets reflected, it is no longer considered yours. It uses the reflector’s Precision, at least, and also will apply the reflector’s on-hit/crit effects.
For example, say a Warrior uses Kill Shot into a Wall of Reflection. The Guardian happens to have a full charge of Virtue of Justice (so his next attack will burn). When the Kill Shot hits the Warrior, it will also inflict burning.
I don’t think anyone was complaining about necromancer balance dude, just about this bug in particular

I was surprised that this bug did not get fixed in this patch… I rallied three enemy team members the other night from it…
Now mesmers are allies of the enemy too. I’d say much more so. :P

Yeah I saw that post and was surprised. This lead me to wonder, and I can’t test it right now. But Since this patch can you also rally off of other kills like ranger pets or necro minions?

Minions didn’t do it, I tried.

I have reported it in game. I am sure many others have. Its also in the necro bugs post that was put together after the big update patch.
It wasnt a big deal before but its rampant now due to the signet builds viability. However it will become even more rampant once the Daemon Malyx revenant skills arrive.

Can this please get fixed? In just the last 2 days I have had 2 burn guards and a necro all rally on me right when their teammate gets stomped next to them. I see this happen at least every other match when a necro is on my team. I only play about 1-3 matches a day for the daily and this is very common to see once you are aware of it happening.
I APPRECIATE ANET RESPONDING FAST TO FIX THE MESMER RALLY BUG BUT CAN THIS GET LOOKED AT PLEASE?
My necro just rezzed one of the enemy’s FOTM elementalist and that really upsets me. I guess I wouldn’t be as mad if I rezzed the guard but the ELE!!!!

TIL that to style, playing the right way on necro means not transferring conditions to anyone other than the person who put them on you, for some unknown and obviously unintended reason.
But then again, Anet’s silence about this bug makes me self-doubt how necros are played. What if we are doing it wrong all along? Is this even a bug in the first place?
Their silence and lack of response about this is one of the reasons why they fall behind on the competitive scene.

I don’t know what necros run in wvw these days but it’s good if they still run power wells. I can see this bug being a problem if necros start using the pvp meta build in wvw. I’d prolly LOL if our necros began to rally the downed zerg.
