hello spvpers

I wanted to try some class that is no heavy armor class and that I maybe will feel comfortable with. The options I had were necro, Mesmer and engi – after some time I decided on engi (because they have style and I have a SAB pistol and SAB shield ^^)

But I have almost no experience with engis, I thought about that build:

pistol/shield
amulet condi/precision/toughness
Healing turret
bomb kit
Elixier gun
[add any weapon kit] – probably the repair kit or what that is called again

but I don’t know anything about the current condi-engi build and would like to hear some examples from you… I know that engi is complexe but I don’t have any problems with failing horribly in the first few hours of trying that class :P

What role do you want to fill?

as an engi probably more roaming than anything else – anyone knows a good build?

30/x/0/20+/10+ is currently the closest thing to a “standard” roaming engineer build that exists. The utilities are usually bombs, grenades, and your choice of a third—most often elixir gun or elixir R. If you take elixir R, you’ll need 15 in tools; if not, there’s no reason to go that deep. You can put 5 in firearms for some extra damage or put all ten of the remaining points into alchemy for some extra survivability.

Yes, p/s and condi/precision/toughness are usually the go-to choices.

man engi is so complex, gonna have to play it for some time
