It’s more about everyone having more of everything, less rock paper scissor, more DIY murican style. Back in the days things were more simple, less active and passive buffs thrown around, now it’s steriods on crack.

Ranger get up to 15 seconds of immunity against power damage if they spec for it. That is without any gear investment whatsoever.
