If I was to start a new F2P account. How many games would I have to lose in a row in order to get my MMR at the lowest end of the spectrum? I am guessing around 50 games? 75 to be safe? Anyone venture to guess where this experiment is going?
50 is overkill. It Depends on your S1 MMR as well, but on a new acount 30-40 should be enough.
I saw some dude complain he had a 99 game lose streak. You might want to go extra just to be safe. Otherwise you’ll get people accusing you of not being in “real” MMR Hell.

Kinda making the same thing right now xD First game so far, 4 beast vs Home Mid skipped beast. Good thing i can be in 2 places simultaneously.

If you tank your mmr now and start in amber, sure, its possible to get to legendary. Enough matches to get your mmr up again until you hit ruby.
If you tank your mmr in sapphire on the other hand… I predict you wont be able to get past ruby.
Would be interesting. But I bet you’ll easily be able to climb out of it.
Also I’d bet with new MMR volitality even 20 games would be enough.

I agree with this. It depends on when you start to tank your MMR. I dint really start to get problems till late emerald/early sapphire. Now I’m stuck in T5 sapphire. Can’t seem to get out. Been stuck there for over a week. I will keep trying as I’m stubborn like that.

you can do ethical tanking by “disconnecting” so they lose nothing but you’d have dishonor which would make it take a lot longer

Already on a tanked account. So I m not tanking anyone, I guess.
The strange thing thou, people in amber right now are way more friendly then anyone I ve seen in this game. I think I ll just scrap the idea. Just can’t take away the games from people who say. Good luck have fun. Thanks for the game.

Tbh, amber/early emerald matches are the most fun ones atm… as soon as you get in range of sapphire… it gets weird… as if people forget what they learned… and just die instantly.
You don’t need to intentionally tank. Just roleplay as one of those special snowflakes “I refuse to play meta and will make D/D P/P thief with valk runes work” types of player.
Lord knows there’s enough of them hanging around here complaining about MMR hell.
