From the leaderboards
*TheWalkingDead.7298 Got Might 17 1 94.44% Isle of Janthir*

Also, I get partied with level 1s. We lose terribly, next game I get partied with decent players then we win. Rinse/repeat.

I’m above .500 but how in the name of all that is holy can someone be 17-1?

Also, how do you crawl out of ELO Hell if you get stuck in this cycle?

He didn’t Que sync, how do I know he a friend of mine he just got lucky with good team’s and that’s all there is to it.

Most of the Queue Sync is all in your head. It’s just they pair the same MMR with each other, so if your high on leaderboard good chance your team is going to be good.

17-1 is a really really finish stats based on luck. It is like one day, you woke up and 1 Biliion USD Tattloto. Sure it can happened but if the rest on LB, are the same stats like that, it definitely not coincidence.

This is how, he played it when it came out or so. You win the first couple matches than you keep playing it more and youll have the same teammates due to them being around your leaderboard rank, and you stay with them forever while continually beating those player(s) that have worse rating than you.

The game doesn’t matchmake, it likes to see if Team A the better team (everyone is higher rating) wins because team A is suppose to win against Team B the worse team (everyone on that team has worse rating than team A)
There is no balance, Got Might was suppose to win all those games and he did except for 1 of them, which was probably an upset or there was enough people que’ed with 1-100 rating that his team probably consisted of 1-25 fought a team that was 26-50, which is very possible to win.

Now this is why you don’t win that much if your in percentage there are those that are better than you and not everyone is in the percentage and if not enough percentage players que youll be teamed with people around 50-70% while you face people 600-1000 on the leaderboards and your expected to lose. Once you get to Got Might rank your expected to win every game and you do and its very possible to be teamed with people 1-100 and fight people 300-700 which is a huge difference and its pretty much humiliation.

This is a team game and the ELO system is hard for you to rise in the ranks because you maybe very good player but those other 4 guys are holding you back by being worse skill level than you while you continually face 5 people equal or better to how good you are.

This system doesn’t work in random team based when its not your team its solo que team, which means you stuck with people you don’t even know and expect them to be good as you but you cant improve there skills because you don’t even know them, so they are really just holding you back, which means system doesn’t work. If this was a dueling arena where all that mattered was you than it’d be perfectly fine, but since its you and 4 random others you cant improve there skills, if they all suck and your good it doesn’t matter because the other 5 people your facing are your skill or better.

This is why you have to make the games fair, because the game is fair enough where your going against 1 guy your skill level, the worse guy is going against another worse guy and the better guy is going against the better guy, if you do good it carries more weight than going up against 5 people your skill level while the rest of the team isn’t even there yet holding you back.

They need to make fair games, not force you to beat a full team that’s your skill or better when the rest of your team hasn’t even gotten to that skill level to advance, which means they holding you back.

In Team arena this system is fine, because you know the other 4 people and you can try and improve there skills, in solo que this doesn’t work because you cannot work on improving the skills of people you don’t even know and most likely wont see again for a very long time and they could possibly be on the other team.

In solo que you could be the very best player there is but those other 4 teammates, they just suck so much that the 5 other people skill level is far beyond theres but no where compared to yours but they have better rating because those 4 random teammates holded you back and will drag you down with them depending on how bad they suck.

Its like anet is using rectangle formula, since team que is a rectangle it works, but since solo que is a square, something just isn’t right. They need to change the formula for solo que, and it needs to be based on player for player. If you got a rank 1 leaderboard player and the 2nd highest leaderboard player is rank 5 than those two go against each other and so on, some formula like this, it just has to be fair.

Until we’re looking at 50 matches or so, it’s largely luck. Getting really good or bad teammates for a few matches completely changes the picture.

I haven’t had the time to sink a lot of games in but so far I’m 6-1. I’ve just been getting lucky and either have really good teammates…or really bad enemies. However, the problem with changing the rating system to individual points is that often if you are being a good team player you may not be getting massive points. I know that if I just helped secure a cap I’ll leave at let my teammate finish the cap, which means I lose out on 10 points but got a head start getting to the next point. Sometimes the best player doesn’t actually get the most points.

Rating is based on individual points? Is this really the case?

If it is so, wow i’m really baffled at this decision. I’ve started playing SoloQue yestertday, i’m at 10-5 at the moment, but even in the matches i’ve won i often scored very little, since most of the teammates i had showed very little interest in capping and especially defending nodes

I mean, i totally understand that a lot of players are new to this, and that’s ok. I’m rank 33, i’ve played more than 700+ tournament matches and i know how it works, but how are the new people supposed to learn how to properly play if the scoring system promotes mindless zerging? They’d rather stack up points while someone else tries to actually win the game i guess.

Again, if it is how it works, then i’d really reconsider this system. Or at least change how you assing individual points, something that should have been done a long time ago to be honest.

No, it isn’t based on individual score but it was suggested that it should be, which I disagreed with. I should have been a bit more clear who I was responding to.
