Can you please remove the option to join the pvp league for F2P players. I’ve had several matches with those players and it turns always a loss, even i am platinum… This is seriously ruining the experienced competitive game for me and the other players. I even don’t know why you even allow it?

If they want to play the league, they buy the game first. Its that simple.

Not everyone who hasn’t got HoT is a F2P player. And if you want to ban non-HoT builds, why not just ban everything except from meta-builds? Srsly, bad idea …

I dont even know why they allow HoT specs in sPvP.

I’ve been playing this game since release. I do a lot of pvp. But if they allow new ppl to use the free trail and they have build up a mmr so fast that they are kittening up the rating of other players. F2p players with a trial should never get acces to ranked pvp or to season league. This is ruining the competitive thing of this game seriously.

Hopefully once the next expac comes out they can just buff baseline cores to not being kitten, since the hot + next expac cores will be insane.

It’s already known that you will only be able to have 1 espec active. So the option would be Hot build, core build, or new expac build. There will be no HoT+new expac builds.

Maybe, but more often than not that’s not the case. A new player can luck out in placement games, go 6-4 and get placed in platinum. Worse yet, sometimes they get matched with platinum/legend players while still doing their 3rd ot 4th placements.

I’ve had several of my matches ruined by kitten like signet staff eles in platinum because they were just doing placements. This season is just as big of a joke as any.

My main account (with HoT) is in plat, my alt account (w/o HoT) is in plat (probably decayed now tho). Ironically i beat most DD thieves on my core thief in plat and do my decap job just as well, so what is your point, OP?

I actually find i play better on core spec than when i play HoT one because i am aware that i have less room for errors and pay more attention.

Possibly, but you are not gonna stay in plat for long if you are bad. I placed in gold 3 on non-HoT account, got to plat, so there is that. Also, when my friend got back to game, i played core in his placements so we got him to plat as well.

@OP: look at own mistakes instead of blaming other, trust me, non-HoT specs is not what holds you back. From my experience so far, a lot of players that blame other (for builds, fights etc.) are usually the ones dragging the team down.

I see no issues with f2p players in league. If they manage to get high-ranked, good on them, as they are “disadvantaged” compared to us that have bought HoT.

Facts!

I’m not sure how the OP knows that these people are f2p. It seems as though you are:

1. Assuming they don’t have HoT (Some people, like myself, run core specs with HoT)

2. Assuming they have a f2p account rather than just an old account without buying expac.

3. Assuming they don’t have enough skill to belong where they are.

That’s a lot of assumptions, and you know what they say about assuming…

How does this happen. I won 7 and lost 3 out of my placement matches. I am new to the game. Have only played since like November 2016. I got placed in bronze 2. Not that I’m complaining. I’m new. I don’t have the skills necessary to be in platinum and have no right to be there. I’m just wondering how does another new person only win 6 and end up in platinum?

How does this happen. I won 7 and lost 3 out of my placement matches. I am new to the game. Have only played since like November 2016. I got placed in bronze 2. Not that I’m complaining. I’m new. I don’t have the skills necessary to be in platinum and have no right to be there. I’m just wondering how does another new person only win 6 and end up in platinum?

It’s due to high MMR.

For example, I was placed bronze 3 due to my low mmr and bad placement games (didn’t played much pvp games) and im now platinum.

To the contrary, a friend was gold 2 and he is now bronze 2.

I’m not a pvp-only player tho so maybe I’m wrong but I think it’s something with the mmr.

You have a lot of players with high mmr during placement but are still bad in soloq because they were carried by the 5vs5 team system before.

platinum in placement are uncommon tho, but it’s probably possible. And it’s why we need the 100 matchs requirement in the system in order to delete players with high rating just with placement matches. Even if I personally don’t care that much about leaderboard, it’s better for the matchmaking.

Nothing. OP is just looking for an excuse because he can’t accept that he’s not as good as he thinks he is.

I refuse to buy HoT on my alt account out of principle. They messed up thieves so badly for so long, i don’t feel like giving them a penny.
