Fix it or disable the trait while it is bugged. Thank you.

If it was League of Legends, the trait would be disabled while it is this hardly abusive!!!!!!
(He almost one hits me while on tank warrior build wtf.)

it’s got a 1/2 sec cast you can dodge it. I’ve been doing 1v1s with pals and npcs and they can dodge it. that being said the preircing will be patched, or added to the tooltip.

They invis and then barrage you. Also plz, you can’t dodge that at melee range unless you’re lucky. You can’t even tell which one the barrage is at melee and all grenades pierce anyways. So barrage or not, being hit by the grenade AA still does way too much damage.

It’s painful to see people even half-defend this with how to counter it rather than why it’s still in its current state.

I am talking about 5v5 here, ranked, competitive pvp. The damage is just broken and abusive and if you don’t have your dodge up you’re done for, doesn’t matter what you play. There is so much more going on in 5v5 than just the engi you would have to dodge, so don’t compare it to 1v1, please.

can’t dodge the 20k backstab from stealth either. can’t dodge anything that comes out of stealth.

Show me 20k backstabs or 14k burns that happen instantly. You can’t.

Backstabs wont even reach half of that on a tank and burns take time + multiple skills before it reaches that point.

warrior can crit a full 100b with +20%dmg and that will 100-0 you. there are a lot of ways to 100-0 now. point being this whole game is a splatterfest right now. run a 100-0 build or go home.

burn takes time sure, but blowtorch is 14k burn on a 12 sec cd and it’s only one of many condis. ofc it takes time, I never said it didn’t. still ticking +1k a sec for 10secs for only one skill.

nades will still hit 16k+ with air fire if preircing is fixed. damage has gone up a kitten load.

stop comparing WvW or 1v1 with 5v5 pvp games. In WvW you have all sorts of bonuses and 1v1 displays a no-reality situation you would have in team pvp.
Burn can be cleansed or transfered by necros as well.

As I said, there is much more to dodge than just engineer GB.

Did you really just give me a link to a wvw backstab? I need not say the difference in damage coefficient between pvp and wvw. I also know nothing behind the circumstances. The person who was backstabbed may of had 25 vuln stacks and the thief might stacks. The thief likely had food buffs, and guard buff…There really is no comparison. The player that was hit for 20k may of even been naked or full zerker. Provide a video of it happening in pvp, or this is not even close to the same thing.

Notice how many people are debunking his claim?

Current engis can nearly 1shot a full tank warrior. It’s nothing short of laughable.

And no, nades are currently dealing double damage. So if they’re hitting 22k on average now, they will hit for 11k after patch. Still a lot, but a huge difference. And less engis are likely to run full zerker if they can’t insta-kill people with their nades.
And if they still deal too much, then anet can nerf them. But as it is now, they first need to fix the broken mechanic.

In celestial builds the barrage does about 8K if you eat the full blast, and this is from taking it on a cele ele.

I think it should be patched out but grenades should be buffed in another way to compensate, since celestial engi has really low damage right now without abusing this bug.

nades do 445. there are 7 of them. I have 222% crit damage. add that to fire and air and they can for sure do 16k+

it’s easy to get vun on before the barrage, and in wvw you can hit much higher Base nades so you can get a bigger barrage.

Getting vuln on before the barrage means you actually put some efforts into killing your opponent beyond pressing an f skill. That’s a start.

I play only engineer since the first beta week end.. And this is silly. Barrage is totaly bugged and The piercing effect… Loool need to be fixed asap. Who use or defend this bugged kit should be ashamed!

Btw if you go on the bugs forum section you can find out that engineer got more than 50 new bugs.

Loool need to be fixed asap.

Everyone is splattering everyone. You already know this will gt fixed. I’d be more worried about all the instagibbing that isn’t neccesarily going to get fixed.

Right now atleast it’s equal oppertunity gankfest. I fear that after the next patch or two it will be just a few professions left running crazy. And after the “launch period” of the patch is over, don’t count on many fixes/buffs/nerfs anytime soon.

So focus on diversifying your complaints instead of everyone jumping on the same kitten issue, because whatever gankspec survives will likely be left unchecked for atleast a few months.

Yea that is just stupid. It’s like saying let’s boost mind stab so it does 10-17k damage and Mesmers can say L2P, just dodge. Or Boost rangers traps even more to do 10-17k damage, L2P just dodge. It’s the same with Ele Dragon’s Tooth 10-17K damage, just dodge.

I am sorry I am not playing Thief before the patch full endurence all the time and I do not like mechanics that one shot. It shouldn’t exist for no class.

Some of you proplayers may havn’t noticed yet that “skilled”(pffffffffffffffffff) engineers use the granedes from out of stealth. You cant dodge it because the engineer will pull you and throw that stuff right into your face and you are done before you even noticed what happend.

Grenade Barrage deals double damge and has a 1.5k range because of a bug.

When the engi misses Grenade Barrage , he is pretty much dead.
Because of the 15k hp an no condition remove.

Invis 50s cd.
Barrage 30s cd.

So this engi is “doable” in a 1on1.

In 5on5 the cleave is isane. I hope they get it fixed in a few days…..
