FIX THE STOMP BUG!

the only bug i ve heard of so far is the one where a player cant be killed with stomps
I stomp a guy 3 times in a row and he WONT DIE!
I’ve lost sooooo many fights cuz the downed player CAN NOT BE STOMPED!
Could be when a player has crashed, they can’t be stomped. It have happened to me before but it have only happened once during my GW2 time playing since release.
Is this a known bug?

Don’t stomp. It’s a bad idea 8/10 times. Just cleave and drop AoE.

Yeah it started with Halloween for me as well. I wonder if the Halloween finisher is causing it. Are you still using that?

Yeah it started with Halloween for me as well. I wonder if the Halloween finisher is causing it. Are you still using that?
It’s with any finisher, stomping is not reliable anymore. I’ve lost 2 teamfights because players just randomly were not affected by stomps.
Fix. Your game. ArenaNet.
But first, EEEEESPPPUUUUURTS, the priorities.
Happened to me a few times, always against Revenant though.
From what I’ve been told, the stomp bug occurs when you have the interface option “Allow Skill Retargeting,” checked. What happens is that you single down player A, and then press F to stomp him. While stomping player A, you either untarget him/her or target player B. The game’s code interprets this as you wanting to stomp player B now instead, and the animation is no longer being executed on player A.
This is a pretty dumb bug imo and should be easily fixed. For now, your best bet is to keep your intended downed player targeted the entire time during your stomp animation. I haven’t had any trouble stomping while doing this.

I main Thief so I only experienced the bug against Revenants (the downed skill slows you), today I decided to try out Mesmer and failed 3 stomps in a row while using quickness, so you’re right, it’s the quickness/slow that messes it up.
