I’ll quote few things from that page and comment them.

- Nothing technically false in this but it is not entirely true in reality.
Ruined pirate ship is in the infamous Raid on the Capricorn map. However, no one actually cares about the ship, the cannon is ignored. It’s all about capturing the points.
Destroy an enemy siege weapon is in the Battle of Khylo map. However, it’s really more of a side objective. It’s not that important as the points capturing and defending.
Interesting thing is that Point Capture system is not mentioned anywhere on that page. A potential customer will get on that page and get all kinds of expectations. “WOW A PIRATE SHIP!!! LET’S GET IT!” They’ll buy the game and be disappointed.

QUOTE: “Competitive players looking for more organized play can try out tournament mode, which pits teams of five players against each other in a variety of monthly and player-run tournaments.”

That’s an obvious lie. There are no tournament modes. There have never even been any monthly nor player-run tournaments. Obviously another trick to get more people to buy the game.

So is this kind of marketing lie illegal or is it just wrong? Or both? Can Anet get in trouble because of the false information they provide there?

Rezz is right, PvP is far from being as it’s described.
At least tournaments should be more competitive, and a rank leaderboard won’t help.

can u link me some “internet law” about anet forced to give us back money for his crap product called as GW2? and about my previous post. apologize for bad english, still u are OT and proved nothing against my statement. gj quoting stuff
