I’ve seen people doing the exact same thing. It’s a shame.

I don’t get the point of doing this at all.

The people doing this are the ones missing out, the point of spvp is to actually pvp, which is very fun.

I heard someone refer to them as “MMO locusts”. It’s the same mentality of players who grind/bot to level 80 then complain about being bored because there’s no content after they’ve skipped/avoided/rushed through 75% of the available content to get to the “end game”.

It doesn’t matter that much right now, because Anet made a fix. Before the fix you could farm as long as you wanted, for like 1k+ points. Now there’s a cap on 300 or so, not quite sure. But still, not sure if that’s bannable…

when did they add this cap? 5 days ago i was able to get +300 points

I’ve gotten 320 points I think (in niflhel), although that was a very long and close game (yesterday). That game got me 399 glory and 399 rank points.

399 strikes me as a very arbitrary number, so maybe that’s the cap.

PS: Was a perfectly legit game, I just happen to get my finger in many pies with my glory farm build (high mobility & big aoe damage, get all the kills & nodes).

some answer from Anet would be nice

I ran into a guild that was doing this. Three members on each team (all in the same guild), and they were mindlessly killing each other over and over. It’s annoying knowing that these players will probably hit max pvp rank long before I do, but I’ll be happy knowing that I did it legitimately.

I’d like to know how ArenaNet feels about players doing this kind of thing. Also, if you were to report these players… what exactly would you report them for? It’s not botting, I don’t think (though this is probably the best option). Inappropriate character name certainly wouldn’t work. They aren’t spamming or scamming, and verbal abuse wouldn’t get the job done either.
