Just had to give a post to best game of all tournament (IMO) game 1 Abjured v TCG. The comeback from TCG was real the timer was realer lol

Yup, first game was such an anticlimax with the timer.

The bigger anticlimax was that they didn’t rush lorrd on foefire in the last 2 minutes. Of course I don’t know who could/couldn’t peel but at the 2 min mark they were obviously not going to come back even if they full wiped Abj and triple capped, so the lord play was honestly their only hope of winning at that point, but instead they acted like they didn’t even realize the timer was an issue.

That being said all 4 matches were REALLY enjoyable to watch. So many comebacks and turn-arounds. It was very fun to watch this tournament.

The difference in the comps is such that Abjured has no bad matchups. They can rotate pretty much whoever they want, and Toker is free to roam basically at will. By contrast, TCG has to be really precise with their calls and rotations, and it’s much easier for them to mess up. The finals were far from TCG’s best showing. They made quite a bit of mistakes that ended up snowballing against them. In the Temple game TCG basically threw the match after being very dominant until the 10 minute mark.
