Not accepting the queue is only a 3 minute timeout with no prior offenses. It sounds like you’re disconnected multiple times in the last day or two to get a timeout that long.
Bra (80 Guard), Fixie Bow (80 Ranger), Wcharr (80 Ele)

Really? Do you think over the last day or two isn’t overkill?
When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all.

Come on now don’t be obtuse a 44 minute time out is the result of quite a few disconnects/queue dodges over a pretty short period of time. I think I missed three queue in one 24 hour period the time out was like 10 minutes or possibly shorter after the last of the three.
44 minutes of dishonor means you’ve wasted like 12 hours of other people’s time. Every time you screw over a match, multiple that by 9.
Missing a simple queue pop is ~ 45 minutes of wasted time for other people.
DCing from a match is ~ 2 hours of wasted time for other people.
Extremely rough estimates.

I DC’ed twice yesterday, and once on patch day. All dew to the game telling me it has lost connection with the login server. So yeah, a bit on the overly harsh side I feel.

What? Missing a queue pop up is wasting about 30 seconds by the time someone else drops in giving how fast the queues have been moving since patch day.

That would mean the 2nd match started less than 4 seconds after the queue popped and you flaked. No, you wasted an enormous amount of time each time you don’t hit the button.

Well I’ve been on the end of being put back in the queue, and it’ is really fast. the time wasted is not enormous by any stretch of the imagination. But hay if you want at add it all together from the other 9 players to make it sound worse that it is, go right ahead. On a personal level it’s seconds.

It might be better for the OP to find out why he is having so many DCs. Whether that be game crashes or internet drops. I used to get fairly frequent DCs and eventually found out the cause which in my case was one bad memory stick (giving a memory address error crash). Another cause was the GW2 32 bit client, but when they gave us the 64bit beta client that stopped that for full map events like Teq.

I’ve looked into it, and it’s nothing on my system. Nor my ISP. I don’t normally lose connection to the game, but when I do I get a Cannot connect to login servers. I sometimes get this error message and not get dropped from the game, so it’s safe to say it’s on ANets end not mine. Also I only get DC’s from GW2. Nothing else.

The login servers are on a different network from the game servers. It could still be your ISP.

Stop beating around the bush and tell us how many times you disconnected in a 24 hour period to get to that large of a time out. I’ve already laid it out that I remember missing about three queues in a 24 hour period and the time out was about 10 minutes. You must have missed a LOT of queues. You say its harsh yet you won’t tell us a rough estimate of how many disconnects you had. My feeling is it has to be quite a lot. And you are wrong to say that after a queue drops when you queue again you get a match in seconds. That’s not even close to true. You may or more likely its going to take close to as long as the first queue. Stop being selfish Fluffball is 100% correct.

Trust me I know how annoying it is when this keeps happening. But when it comes down to it, if you ask other people in map chat (like I did) and find no one else is having the same problems then likely it is something occurring on your end. With the Teq event crashes it was definitely Anets 32 bit client as other people were also having problems, and those that weren’t were circumventing the problem by turning their graphics settings down.
In this instance I don’t think the dishonour system is at fault, but whatever is causing the DCs. As for it not occurring for other games, I experienced the same thing, however I only discovered my bad memory issue through GW2 for some reason. In my case maybe it is because other MMOs I play aren’t as memory or graphics hungry as GW2.
dont tarnish the name of an awesome game with your filthy acts of recurrent leaving

as I said, Ive Dc’ed a total of 3 times this week. end of story. If you had read my posts you would have seen I listed the days I had the problem.

I’ve had some DC trouble on GW2. I don’t think that dishonor should be given when I rejoin the same game as quickly as I can, and the disconnect is on their end anyway. Especially not in unranked. It’s not my fault, and it’s wasting time on my consumables.
