Feels like a slot machine - Yes?
yes, most of the games you can go afk.
The best line i read yesterday someone wrote….
Why not have the match making system pick the 2 teams like its currently doing, then just give the pip to the team with the higher MMR and take a pip from the lower MMR team. This way we avoid the completely unneccessary part of actually having to play the match.
“Buff my main class, nerf everything else. "

Ding ding ding ding, we have a winner folks. This is exactly the way the system works currently. We just need to remove the necessary matches.
As I said a few days ago:
“Why play the match?”…
They could make a slot machine screen where you “pull the handle” to join the queue.
Then you’ll see two rows of five spinning wheels. Whee!!
They settle, and you see the MMR of each person and their class, and the expected win.
BINGO!!!
You get a pip or lose a pip.
Yes, I agree with this.
Didnt anet mention something about posting mmr after each game played?
Playing solo, doesn’t it feel like you are basically pulling a slot machine handle?
Do you feel like when your team loses, you could not have prevented it?
Do you feel like your team’s win was not primarily due to your personal skill?
Does it feel like you have the most impact on the team’s performance?
Or not?
Yes, yes, and yes
Omg that’s hilarious.
You might be beating the horse to death just a bit here Laser, but still…the image was a great chuckle.
Thanks, I just had fun making it. Wasn’t trying to beat the horse.
Yes, nice depiction.
top kek, would random queue with reapers again.
I had no problems getting to sapphire as warrior and only lost 3-4 games. On top of that i was playing naked honestly didn’t know that you get armor rating from pve pieces equipped lol.
Pull the handle…
Love it!

Haha, yes exactly. There is a definite random factor feel when soloq. The difference in MMR between teams is always so great there is never any reason to actually play.
Score will end up ~500-100 either way.
To make it worse I can almost predict how it will turn out within the first 20 seconds or so of a match (depending on map.) Just by my team’s initial behavior and where they head.

I can tell quickly as well.
Pull the handle…
Gold.
Well maybe it like slot machine game is decide before they start but you will have the odds on winning with good mmr and almost always lose with bad mmr.
So the perfomance of my solo teams. Ruined my whole pvp experience and will lose almost every game good to know. Never played before in stupid system like this. My pugs perfomance decides me i will lose most of my games lol
Yup- welcome to the slot machine.
Also odds on winning in slots are quite low – the house always wins (they need the money)

If by house you mean the team of better players then yeah sure. This whole slots thing is actually a pretty bad analogy being as you are playing other players and not the house. In fact every single PvP match has the same amount of winners as it does losers!
I think the fact people think they will lose every match is partly contributing to their losing streaks. I have had several matches where the opposing team loses the initial mid fight and then 1 or 2 of them go afk and start blaming their team for being bad.
Lots of you guys instantly accuse your team of being bad instead of just realizing the other team is just better. They don’t win by just showing up unless your team just gives up which seems to be a reoccurring instance this season.

At 400-120 and triple capped against is generally when I pull the pin.

That is the kind of thing I can understand but it has been the first push that I have seen most people giving up. Sometimes the fights are extremely close too with both teams having downed players.
There has been some really lopsided matches this season and so far I have always been on the right side of them but some of these matches ending in 500-150 end that way because someone gave up 2 minutes into the match.
Well, there are certain things you watch in the first two minutes that are so amateurish, that you just know that your assigned team members are not going to know what to do further down the line. And then when they start confirming that, people quit trying.
