There are so many things wrong with that pyramid it quite literally made me lol. If you think thieves are near the top and guardians /elementalist are near the bottom you need some more experience under your belt before you qq.

Agree with you. I havent used engi much in pvp, but ranger is almost as strong as necro except less hp, slightly less condition damage and no boon hate.
as well as flesh golem > cats.
I can kill anything with condition necro even burst thieves and can win several 2 vs 1. Warrior is pretty much a free kill not a threat at all.

Sure it is us who see Necro is NOT balanced the way it is now is need to play. Kudos to you…I don’t say Necro need nerf but I DO want to see other class being brought up at the Level of Necro. So all of us, including you would L2P.. GG.

Necro killed this game for me. Playing as a meditation guardian I just didn’t get a look in. It had an answer for anything. I gap close in, it turned blindness against me. I block with focus,..its marks were unblockable..I judges intervention in,..it feared me away..I smited condition, so now only the other 7 to deal with. I converted the huge condition stack to boons…had them corrupted. By the time I was doing damage..they swapped out to alt lifeforce bar and tormented/feared me to death.
It felted “balanced”. Pvp in this game has turned me off all of guild wars 2 in under 3 months.
i play mainly elementalist (but i took a big look into all classes!) .. the s/d thief is a strong build
but my ratings which classes are superior include the following points: 1v1-, 2v2-, teamfightpotential (this is a 3-node 4-node or sometimes also a 5-nodefightgame), dps (powerburst,condiburst) , cc &knockouts &blinds, range, mobility, tankyness (including heathpools, toughness, blocks), heals , boons, debunkerpotential, nodefighterpotential, access to stability, rezpotential, playstyle…
the necro is the übermensch because of the doubleaccess to a 1200 range aoefear ! / and the doubleaccess to a 1200 range cripple /chill. if u come in 900 range he can fear u a third time, in 600 range he dazes u (4 sec on 25 1/2 sec cd) , then in deathshroud fear cd is over so fear again , while this happens u get overkilled by 666 conditions unable to cleanse em all (good necro covers…) while being stripped of all ur boons. the condidps is properly played too high and then the necro can just epidemic to all people. if u split 3 necros to all 3 nodes they can neutralize a point easily (fear), kill all classes in 1v1/2v2 fast! and hold a node (stabilityaccess due to plague, or spectral walk…), take mates condis and spread them to the enemy (plague signet, putrid mark)…. but although the superrangeaoeccclass isn’t enough it also has a second/third healthpool (deathshroud, plague) which makes it tanky able to disengage…
in a professional hand this class i a master of ranged aoecrowdcontrol & aoecondiburst & conditionhandling ! u will be a puppet vs a top necro, u will never be able to control ur class :/

So you expect to counter everything other people do, but when someone does that to you, you quit the game? That makes sense.

@Ultima Everything you describe was available to necros before the patch. What has changed?
Weakness: Changed from 50% fumble on regular attacks to 50% fumble on all attacks. Now only stacks up to 5 times (still stacks duration).
Torment: Added a new condition called Torment. This does damage every second (75% of bleeding) and double damage to foes that are moving (150% of bleeding). Stacks intensity.
Putrid Curse: Increased the poison duration from 2 seconds to 4 seconds.
Necrotic Bite: Increased the life force gain from 4 to 6.
Spectral Wall: Normalized the amount of protection gained to 5 seconds for allies. Replaced the vulnerability with a 1-second fear when enemies try to cross the wall. Added 4% life force gain on hit.
Death Shroud: Bone Fiend and Shadow Fiend now regenerate outside of combat.
New ability #5 – Tainted Shackles: This skill tethers all enemies within a 600 range, constantly dealing torment to them over time. At the end of the cast, Dark Binding immobilizes all affected enemies still within the radius.
Life Blast: This skill now scales based on range instead of amount of life force. At more than 600 units, this skill’s low value has been increased by 43%; at less than 600 units, this skill uses the old high value. Range has been increased to 1200.
Doom: This skill now scales based on range. If more than 600 units, it will apply 1 second of fear; If less than 600 units, it will apply 1.5 seconds of fear. This ability now lists the damage it deals to enemy targets.
Terror: This trait has been moved to the Master tier.
New Grandmaster trait—Dhuumfire: Players can inflict burning to opponents for 4 seconds on critical hit. This effect can only occur once every 10 seconds. and much more changes…
All I’m reading here is basically “Necro went from free kills to fighting chance they’re OP”
Oh, well I was playing MM Dagger Necro n killing people just as easily for 3 months pre-patch as I am now. They Tweaked n people got a new meta build to use. Pre-patch you’d see most necros running with Nemesis terror build. Now they’re running around with MM Dagger n suddenly their survivability shots through the sky n they’re no longer free kills. Pff AoE’s still kill minions easy as heck n without minions a bad necro is just as dead as pre-patch.
Condi-necro’s have always been annoying if you don’t have tons of Condition removal, all they got other than a few duration tweaks was a way to transfer an extra condition which was a bug (Blind is a condition there for it should transfer) along with being able to cause burning on Crit. Now whenever I play for conditions I don’t go for Crit chance, cause conditions can’t crit so might as well go for survivability.
Ooooh, well a few weeks more and I guess Engi’s will be over powered cause of a few tweaks here n there along with some new build finding its way into the world n people refusing to adapt.

Necro is so brokenly op right now that people can faceroll their keyboard and be effective.
Also necro vs necro is a total joke right now.
Often it is a lottery. More often than that it is based on who manages to see the other one first. There is very little comeback potential.
Also it is build dependent. Things like runes of lyssa (with golem) suck in team fights but are epically strong in necro vs necro. In addition plague signet wins necro vs necro.
You can even go right down the traits. A necro running extra mark damage will beat a necro running chill of death. A necro with more vitality and less toughness (espically as it also means more power) will destroy a rabids necro. Running nightmare will give you a huge edge over undead.
It is boring to have so much lameness atm. Necro needs a big nerf to mean that if they want to lamely spec to beat other necros then they are going to get crushed by a thief or ele, or not be able to pressure a guard down as fast.
O and necro vs necro favours the person not using fast ground targetting. This annoys me as I have to use fast ground targetting because I need it to crush eles, thieves, rangers, engis mesmers etc.
I want significant nerf to the burning trait. Then I will be happy. Stop rewarding spam and reward skill.
