Congratz to [OP] member Kira Boros, took a ton of time and effort.
He is now taking a break from spvp so I thought I’d share with the community what the finisher looks like.

the Phoenix finisher is underwhelming compared to Shark. I do not feel the “thrilled” feel the later successfully displayed
but it may be just me

must be a big dissapoinment when he work so hard to get a crappy finisher at the end. but good news is he can still use the best one of all which is the shark atm. my oppinion only.

It’s pretty underwhelming imo. The size is great, but that actual animation is subpar.

Anyways congratz to Kira on 70.

Pretty cool, but with the incredible grind probably something I will never have. I am already bored of sPvP and I am only rank 39. It’s pretty crazy to me that it took 2200 games or so for me to be almost rank 40. I guess if I played 8v8+ and farmed points it would be less games but I prefer 5v5 and actually winning the matches.

Considering the obscene amount of hours it takes to reach rank 70, the reward you get ofr it is beyond laughable in my opinion.

The reward is all of the fun he had playing PvP, and all of the time put into it, and all of the skills and knowledge gained from PvPing that much (though I’m guessing he did a lot of hot join, which is not conducive to good learning).

His rank number just displays to everyone his dedication to PvPing. Also, the phoenix finisher looks great because of how high it shoots into the air. It’s like a big firework.

i remember kira hotjoining and he’s always top player averaging 250++ points on his engi.

Yeah but hotjoin is much more conducive to grinding rank since the matches are nonstop and everyone else is just trying to grind rank too.

Can’t blame people for trying to be efficient.

but if you compare this animation to the hours you spend not by winning, but by doing some specific actions awarding rank points, its not enough, at least for me… :/

IMG1 was taken JUL19 a day before IMG2 JUL20
I wouldn’t be surprised if Gemmu Dun is or has already been rank 70 as of now.
Because this finisher was shown on youtube awhile ago, but this one right now has a background instead of the other one that was shown on youtube.

So basically what this means is it takes 29 to go from 67 to 70. which means 9.6 days for each rank, but also note going from 69 to 70 is longer. So if he continues to play it’ll take 96 or more days at his rate to get to rank 80.

Also note, none of those high ranks were at the NA qualifiers. Most people at NA qualifiers were ranks 40s.

Also I noted the topic creator plays with kira and that server 06 is the newbie farm server back in the days, ironic if you ask me! No I didn’t stay on server 06 both those days, I don’t have many more screenshots inbetween those and I believe I went to do some tournies and came back to hotjoin and server 06 was the server to farm them newbs.

I was just thinking this. What an awesome finisher, rank 70 (not even the max rank) was just achieved on NA for the first time and it only took a person…1 year after release!

Honestly it wouldn’t feel like such a grind if there wasn’t only one game mode.

Also I think that if they kind of fix this whole system to make it a bit easier to earn these ranks, spvp my get a bit more popular. Every time I play and go in thinking (oh man i want that finisher), I play 10 games and spend 30-1 hr in there only to realize I’ve barely progressed.

You’d think it would be associated with a rez, I was always wondering how they were going to use a symbol of rebirth as a finisher.

Probably Cultural Armors Tier 1 at 60, Tier 2 at 70, Tier 3 at 80.

Grats on 70. Pheonix looks cool.

People keep telling me that soon ranks will be erased and replaced by “tiers”. I have no idea what that means. I want 50 before that happens tho!
