Necromancers Mesmers and Elementalists are game breaking in pvp

Necromancers have both massive Direct and condition damage so basically they drop by slap people with 8 conditions and burst them in a second with high survivavility specially if shroud form is timed right

Elementalists have ridiculous damage, mobility and even more absurd survivavility

Mesmers stealth,teleport,clone spam and the constant 4-5 confusion slaps wich easily stack up to 20 ( i find it a joke people complain about turrets over this)

this past 3 days i noticed a significant increase in necromancer and elementalist players all running the same cheap builds and i expect them to rise even i will play as necromancer and ele myself seeing how effective they are

Any profession played well is difficult to beat. I think you may have seen more necros/eles/mesmers in the past few days because those professions were available as “daily win” professions.

Difficult to beat, certainly, overpowered and frustrating to play against, not so much.

I didn’t realize necromancers were still a major concern… Or mesmers. o.O

I’m just going to say, maybe go play some necromancer and see how great your survivability is.

(You might have a point on Celest Ele, they’re pretty strong in the meta game atm)

Necromancers have massive direct damage!?

Yeah not so much.

They have no bursts, limited cleaves, and very limited offensive boons.
They also have no escapes, are slow, and every skill has a giant tell and super slow projectiles.

Conditions can be dangerous, but mostly rely on AoEs which can be avoided and all conditions can be removed through cleanses, which almost every class has access to at least a few. Terror mancers (inflicting damage when causing fear) can be a bit of a problem if you dont have stability (which almost everyone also has easy access to).
Mions might be able to provide quite a bit of damage, but relies 100% on AI and easily avoided if you know what you are doing. Death shroud might be problematic, but again with slow projectiles, large tells, and a slow auto attack they can be overcome. And lich form can also be very powerful, but has a short duration and all of the above problems.

They do have decent survivability though, but not so much where they are overpowered and game breaking. Basically (almost) everything a necro can do, other classes can also do and some better.

Basically it sounds like you may have met some good players and just stood there and let them roll over you, or you’ve never encountered a necro before.

TL;DR: Necros are not game breaking, it seems if its a L2P issue if anything.
