Fix class balance
Well get right on that magic fix for you whilst your at it have any other concerns you want to voice outloud without any legitimate feedback other than “it’s teh broken fix it xDdddd”?
ok, necros and minions should share health, i.e, you damage a minion, 20% of the damage should go to the necro too.
Guardians cant overlap their traps, i.e stack all in the 1 spot. this should go for mes and rangers too
eles need a big change to their auras, their times need to be cut down, or the skills that grant them need changing.
yeah, those warrior buffs are sorely needed.
revert Rampage and Vigorous Shouts nerfs, baseline fast hands, you know what to do anet.

The necro nerf concerns me. So if you hit the necro with an aoe and he has 4 minions, he takes 180% of the damage? Base necro already has it hard enough as it is :P.
I agree with the DH nerf. Besides, it far more rewarding to strategically place your traps anyways (vs competent players).
I don’t understand the ele nerf. Maybe its because I don’t see any more of them, but I never found auramancers to be too big of an issue.

Don’t forget revert Adrenaline nerfed. Considering how strong other classes has become i think if they revert Adrenaline nerfed, warrior will be back in contention.

we need adrenaline when attacked baseline too, plus a lot of animations (hammer esp) need to be sped up. 100b should be mobile too.

Except 100b still is the strongest skill in the game by a large margin in terms of raw damage (CoR could take that spot, but youd have to hit someone running in a straight line). The only reason it isn’t viable is because it takes too much to setup and people can still escape.
Edit: Now that I think about it, procession of blades does almost the same damage and covers a whole point. You know what, make it mobile without any drawbacks. It’d be fun watching a huge norn swing his twilight around like a madman and literally mow through players.

If that happens , I want a moving Pistol Whip

Yes this is a cry cry topic. But kitten it, PvP is a joke. Eles are immune to everything. Necros with minions might as well be a party of 5 by themselves. Guardian trappers are like a plague. And healing rangers can’t be put down unless they are well outnumbered. What’s worse is unless you’re jump on the bandwagon you don’t stand a chance. build diversity? not if you want to win, you have to ran the same cheap crap just to keep up.
Please, Fix this. GW1, that was balanced with build diversity.

Wait, people actually took OP seriously? When he is complaining about ‘eles being immune to everything’ and ‘necros with minions’? LOL.

Class or Profession balance is largely perception. There are so many variables that affect ones perceived ideas on balance:
1. Your skill versus your enemies
2. Their skill versus yours
3. What build you or they use
4. Your profession versus theirs
5. The map and its layout – does it favor your profession?
6. The team composition
7. Are you being supported by your team when needed?
8. What cooldowns did you or your enemy have available when the fight started?
9. What weapon sets were you using against theirs?
My only balance concerns for PvP right now are:
1. There are too few means of reducing a players health (ala Mortal Strike) outside of just using damage. This results in bunker builds, in 1 on 1 situations, being far too strong. On Druid I can quite comfortably survive against 3 players attacking me – that shouldn’t be possible and the end result is a too greater ability to contest points or push lanes.
2. Boon stacking (type and duration) is too prevalent to the point that it’s artificially inflating the damage, survivability and power of certain professions. Fundamentally, if you can permanently maintain 25 stacks of might, fury, swiftness, regeneration and protection – it’s no longer a Boon, is it? You might as well, at that point, just make it standard for all professions. Scrapper, Tempest (Elementalist), Herald and even Druid, to some respects, have it so easy that
3. Some skills I think could be tweaked, slightly:
> Slick Shoes is still too strong in its current form – you should be able to stun break out of it.
> I would add a slightly longer cast time on traps to ensure they can’t be used as teleport bombs.
> I would fix the graphical bug with primed traps so you can clearly see their radius on the floor (including the graphics of Dragons Maw when its jaw closes)
> I would slightly reduce the damage and increase the cooldown on Unrelenting Assault.
Other than the above, I actually think sPvP in Guild Wars 2 is in a good place but sadly, many fail to consider the variables of a fight when it starts (or ends).

It’s pretty obvious at this point that ANet has little desire to address Warrior issues. They did a small buff to Berserker to try and actually make people want to play it over vanilla warrior (because anyone playing warrior that hasn’t purchased HoT wont if Berserker isn’t used), but vanilla warrior is still kittening garbage compared to the other 8 classes.

Hello!
I may have some good news about the builds that bother you:
- Eles are not immune to everything. The most popular ele build in GW2 is mercilessly countered by DH.
- Necro mm could be tanky but also the least versatile. The higher the skill level of your opponents, the less effective the build becomes.
- Thankfully, there are multiple builds that can counter DH – herald, scrapper, chill reaper just from my experience.
- Druids fall to CC. Use poison and chill along w/ your burst after they F5 to expedite their demise. Just be alert about their pets.
What fascinated me about your thread is how you didn’t mention the builds I find overtuned atm. People are different, no.
Can someone link me that ele immune to everything build please. It’s for a friend…
Chuck The Stampede – Engineer

Yep, just like Pimsley said…almost everything in sPvP can be counter played if you know your class and the match ups. I haven’t had any problem since HoT dropped, and sure there are a few moments when a team AoE bombs a point and I’ll die instantly but if you’re playing smart and actually paying attention it’s really not too hard to counter play every class in some way. Also like the person above said, there are so many factors regarding skill level, builds, etc that skew perceptions of sPvP balance. But I do agree it could take some time to be looked at.

Get behind a piece of rubble or a blade of grass and rapid fire does zero damage. Use reflect or projectile destruction, and rapid fire does zero damage. There are more counters to rapid fire than there would be to a moving hundred blades, and the latter does far more damage as well.
As for unrelenting assault, I consider the evade frames to be the problem. That, plus crystal hibernation and infuse light give a bursty build with an easy-to-land burst the ability to stall for ridiculous amounts of time without giving up offensive power.
D/d cele eles can run diamond skin and be essentially invincible versus any build that relies entirely on condition damage. Diamond skin shouldn’t be in the game; they need to replace it with something reasonable. Other than that, eles are fine now in my opinion.

Diamond skin works only if the ele is above 90% health, which means that against a pure condition build that cannot outdamage their sustain, it is incredibly strong. However, against hybrid or power builds, it’s like the ele is playing with one less grandmaster trait.
I agree that diamond skin should be reworked to be less binary, but it’s not like it’s a ridiculously op trait anyways.
Someone said rapid fire? The one that can be countered by every profession twice, just for lulz? Rangers ( core ranger class, not druid) needs a buff. Or at least some talent or skill to pierce reflects. There are zillions of reflects in the game. And I admit, ranger sucks.
Reaper chills will be a problem. Now no one have realized the chill entirely. DH is just a wannabe archer, and it really is not that good. (I don’t have HoT but I dueled many). Thief’s will be a real pain in the butt with their evades and invis, I expect a complain burst about them in a week (although they seem to be ok).
Engineer is very strong. But engineers were always good. So nothing changed.
Ele’s will be a problem too with druids. But again depends on the player.
Ranger pets will be eating their own poop, and I expect Anet to give their poop more stink in a week.
They have to balance it soon before the season starts or kitten will hit the fan, right?

It’s far too hard a counter toward pure condition builds, but it’s still irritating even to pure power builds, because as long as the ele is above 90% health, they’ll have immunity to fear, cripple, immobilize, chill, etc. That makes it difficult to lock them down. Honestly, I think it should just be replaced. There are situations where it confers no benefit at all, and situations where it is literally unassailable.

I say, if you’re running a pure condi build (likely mesmer) and you run into a ds ele, it’s karma. I say keep current ds in game.
Jokes aside though, 10% hp is a joke to burn through. Just a burst and bam, its gone. Gotta time it, that’s all.

I had kittenous celestial ranger in enemy team. Good grief, pvp is getting more annoying day after day, I couldn’t handle the ammount of CC and I couldn’t even drop him to 50% of his health.
I play DH but without traps just for the sake of not being kitten.
Traps will be just fine when they will start CD on being popped (but they could be remotely activated, purification as well)

This kind of already is true.
Necromancer minions do very low damage and mostly exist as defensive buffs for the necromancer. Kill the minion, the necromancer loses its defense.
DH should have better longbow skills and lesser trap damage.
Nothing is OP except reaper, chronomancer, dragon hunter, druid, revenant and scrapper.
Warrior is exceptionally weak.
Thief(on D/P), Ele and are ok.
