Fixing Ruby and Sapphire
Why not just give everyone Legendary then?

As ranks mean absolutely nothing. Why not do it this way?
If you make gaining pips and tiers too easy then eventually the upper divisions will be flooded with people on huge skill differences.
Disagree. I think people should be able to fall right down to amber 1 even if they are legendary right now if they keep losing. Leagues should be a reflection of your skill at the game in its current state, not a progressive reward track.
But yes I am aware bad design and manipulation of system makes skill irrelevant currently in leagues.
Ew, no. I don’t see how this gives solo players a more reasonable chance to reach a higher tier. That problem isn’t really a result of division structure, but the lack of soloq vs teamq.

Agreed soloq vs teamq is the main problem, but I fail to see how you don’t understand how one 30 point tier (which Ruby is at the moment) Vs 3 × 10 point tiers, doesn’t give solo players a better chance against everything which is stacked against them at the moment.

Seasons only last two months. What kind of change in skill could a person have in that amount of time? There’s really no point.

I’m at 69 points and almost in T2 in ruby so ruby is likely higher. Then again I haven’t played ranked since yesterday. I mostly SoloQ but join the occasional team.

Quite a lot if they practice enough. Even if there isnt a huge amount of time to improve through the league duration, theres always the next league to aim higher. I still think leagues should reflect skill level and if you dont have equal skill to the best players, you should never be able to reach diamond/legendary, even with massive grind.

This is already the case in ruby
I swear, now in ruby tier all the idiots are in, I have 22 pips, and now loose some, because they can’t even think… one guard is using mace, the other stuff…in stronghold, pathetic.. not to mention they don’t know what is a mist warrior…
Let’s be clear, as much as I want tiers to represent skill, they do not. Saying a change is bad because it let’s everyone is silly. Everyone is already in. Just read the forums there is plenty of examples of poor players in all tiers.
