I had no idea eles were so slow, either.
Perma swiftness engie with CC and blocks can easily catch ppl or flee too…

Well, every class can be fast.
Matter is what you want to do in PvP and how you can contribute for your team.
When I go for full bunker/heal Guardian I’m focused on sitting on the point and not getting out of it – so I don’t chase people.
I support teammates with heals, boons and additional ressing from downed states – sometimes with little bit of dps, but somehow I turn out to be focused soon enough anyway.

I did play that class on 1st Beta only.
From what I know for now, Revenant still isn’t 100% available for Beta tests.
It lacks for example Sword weapon for main hand so we don’t know what skills it has – maybe a leap like Warrior does – mobility.
Hence, we still have no access to all specializations for it, so we don’t know if it has a passive trait for +25% movement speed or Swiftness like Engineer.
For now, Revenant is disappointing because it’s Power Build is very weak and is too much focused on Condition Damage.

necro has some viable options: the warhorn, with the daze is a nice stomp interrupt. spectral walk with the added life force and return . the signets are now useful if you trait the condition return. death shroud can be trait’d for quickness. so yea , whats your problem?

This was only about how fast professions are and hands down necro is the slowest of them all (not counting revenant since it isnt finished yet).

Maybe but necros are slower due the lack of non target-required gap closer.

Yes, and also with the signet, sry I didnt put mesmer too… But that said, he doesnt have more gap closers than necro, being sword2 and DS2 a little bit the same…
You must play Guardian or Necro lol
Even Rangers have Gs3, Sword 2 + lightning flash + sword 2
hell, an engineer can keep up with a war if they’re smart or have rocket boots handy

Some things need that high mobility.
after all this time, warriors, wearing heavy armor and carrying eavy weapons are still the fastest profession to get from point A to B, no other profession can outrun them or even catch them if they decide to flee… and don’t bother trying to CC them cuz it does not work they just keep going… it’s insane…
is this ever going to be addressed? even if they don’t get nerfed, will other professions be able to at least manage to stay in range?
you talking about GS/sw/x warrior with bulls charge and on Rampage? because hell i can’t even catch a mesmer with my GS/axe/shield i always get kitted or killed with those 1.2k meter range pointing classes. stop whining people on this forum always cry if they can’t kill other classes even if its their fault not outplaying the other player.
