Stop letting them get lord kills then.
However, I also would like the lords removed because the average pub soloQ player focuses far too much on them too early and gets themselves killed several times a match trying to push lord at bad moments that were never going to win anyway.

That is the thing you simply cant. We heard knocking so we went there to defend. 2 of them leaped on lord and killed him in like 3s. Literaly no way how to stop this. Removing lords from non proleague maps is also solution but cheap imo.

Yeah, Lord getting instagibbed is definitely is an issue. Dh having instant aoe iwin buttons isn’t helping either. Since abuse of passives is a thing now why not give lord some passives as well, like block/invul etc. at % of HP.

I agree, lord is too squishy. Give scrapper 15sec and hes dead.. ez 150 points for nothing.

The cap points on foefire are way to big for this meta so the lord is kind of a saving grace if there was no lord on the map or they buffed it to a point where there was no point in going to it you would have people just afk as soon as they lost a 2 cap. Mid and water are waay to easy to survive in as a bunker as mid cap is so massive and water has LOS

At the very least any key scoring NPC should require a finisher.
This includes, for example:
- Svanir and Chieftain Utahein in Forest of Niflhel.
- The Lords in Stronghold, but not their bodyguards.
- The Lords in Legacy of the Foefire, but not their bodyguards.
When one of them is found to be too squishy against any build, instead buffing the NPC, which would affect negatively builds that can’t take it down so fast now, or just nerfing the builds which is pointless since other powerful ones will arise instead, the squishiness should be addressed in a dynamic way.
For example, an effect that increases their toughness and condition resistance the faster their health goes down past a certain limit. If their health doesn’t go down too fast, no problem nothing happens. If their health goes down too fast, they get a “Desperate” effect that slows down their death.

I read that as favorite and was about to reply, “For me it’s the big node at graveyard and relatively flat and open nature” since it means you aren’t forced to eat AoE fields from necros, dragonhunters, and mesmers to keep contesting it but least favorite? Yeah lord kills are cheap like that. They need serious tuning like maybe 50 points per kill, preferably scrapping them altogether.
Map layout and tranquility make Temple my most hated map. Well, Skyhammer is but thankfully it isn’t in ranked.

Whenever my base is under attack and I’m on my revenant I like to keep the protection and might facets open on him then press R to give him massive facet of nature consumption buffs. Since protection facet gives the big dragon attack on consumption it’s great for baiting dodges.

Yes need for finishing is definetly much better solution but still they kill him on the ground. If it will be invulnerable on the down state however..

Omg. Don’t remove it. It bring so much fun to the game. Actually there is nothing more orgasmic than kitting 2 guys at Lord while your team successfully recap the flags from those metabunkers.
Make it that you cannot solo it or duo it increase the toughness health and attack of the lord maybe ?

This exactly. That way it becomes a game of point holding and trying to hold points not cheap unearned recoveries.
Well if a lord kill wins the game, then the team was obviously accomplishing other goals as well. If the game was that close that a lord kill decided it, the question becomes why did the other team not grab a lord kill?
