Forced Meta, What Do People Think?
Every pvp game has a meta, it’s not a new concept. Sometimes players come up with builds that break the meta, and a new meta is formed. That’s just how it is. Now, people can complain about the meta, which really only applies to the top 1% of players or play a build that works for them and do the best they can.
i really really hate the fact that almost all the good builds look exactly the same and if im not mistaken all the teams had the same comp. I think PZ had a mesmer and Vermillion had a ranger but other then that 18 of the 20 are the exact same.
Some things really needed nerfs, they were too rewarding and caused unfun games. Some changes were indeed really stupid. That being said players force the meta just as devs do. Certainly the pro league teams look for most optimal set up but in your average ranked nobody forces you to play meta build. Other builds can do just as fine but sheep are sheep.
