Former fanboy lacks interest in logging on
I haven’t posted much, but anyone who has read my previous posts would know that in general I have espoused an optimistic attitude towards ArenaNet and Guildwars. I’ve pointed out flaws, but I prefer to offer suggestions on how things can be improved, and I’ve found ways to enjoy the game as it is. The thing I’ve always enjoyed most about GW2 has been spvp. I’ve reached legendary div in both seasons, and have over 6000 matches played, so I’ve invested a lot of time in spvp and I know a fair bit about how it works.
I haven’t really felt any interest in logging in and playing matches for the past few weeks. I think it boils down to what others have said, the matches haven’t been competitive at any level of play, and most are total blowouts.
I hope that ArenaNet is paying attention to how many people are playing their game. It’s a wake up call that they need to seriously listen to their player community about the problems, and fix them. ArenaNet has such a bad track record about regularly communicating with their players, that this should be the first area they fix.
Signed,
Discouraged and unmotivated, but still hoping.
This is all very new and exciting…Seriously, all you have to do is check guild rosters and see that 98% of those in the guilds haven’t logged in. This is old hat.
