Q:
Forums and Listening do you think it happens?
Many people have suggested 1 ticket tournaments for a long time, Devs reluctantly delivered.
I feel like the devs are listening it’s just the Pvp patch is slated for february and everybody is very quick to jump on the QQtrain.
Devs are doing a great job of ignoring Kitten QQ posts and moving slowly towards a much better game, lots of people came back this patch to pvp and this isn’t even the pvp patch, I’m really looking forward to mid feb.

That’s one of the problems I can see, every patch since Nov 15th, people have been saying pretty much the same thing.
The phrase “Oh I and excited about the next” has been delivered after each one by a lot of the community.
Maybe because there is actual content coming next patch, or they aren’t seeing the changes needed in the game in that patch so they hope for the next. here it is several patches later and people are still looking for those changes.
Well, yesterday was an example of them listening. They fixed the ticket bug and reduced it within the hour. :p
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!
I’m sure they read these forums everyday. It’s a question of do they have the resources/manpower to do anything about all the complaints. I don’t believe they do as they’ve hardly touched the game since the betas.
I’m sure they’re watching and listening. If they don’t take a particular action that someone posts about on the forums, it could be for a few reasons:
1. They didn’t see it/aren’t listening (I think they are, though).
2. They don’t agree with it and don’t have the time/resources to say “I see what you’re saying, but no” to every single person. Nor should every single person expect a personal response.
3. They might agree with it and want to do it, but corporate mandate/project plans either push it out or make it an impossibility. Sharing that sort of information is typically a no-no, so you don’t hear about it.
If they made the changes that people complain about, other people would pop on and complain about other things. Some of those things might even result from the changes they made. Forums are a never-ending complaint cycle, and a large number of people will not have their wishes fulfilled. That doesn’t, however, mean that they aren’t listening.
“He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”

Fixing a very large bug fast and listening to the community are two different things, but I appreciate you commenting.
Devs work in mysterious ways guys
Chin up and enjoy the week of awesome pvp
I think they definitely listen, I just think they have a very terrible internal policy of not commenting on anything for fear of “ruffling feathers”. They are definitely out there though, and they hear us. They are like Santa Clause in that regards
It’s been 5+ months. No, obviously sPvP is not a priority. It’s just a fact.
The list of broken and neglected things is too long to even bother posting here.
I agree with Virgil.
8v8 is still here, god knows why. Class imba, One build for most classes, 5 maps and 1 mode of play after 4 years in dev and 6 months of release?
They stated over the development period they want it to be an e-sport, but ignoring the PvP community isn’t getting them anywhere.
Most of forum posts are people that lost a fight and come to QQ about it. Most of those are people that haven’t taken the time to figure out how things work in the game, and just assume that there is a bug or OP exploit.
That being said, I think there are plenty of good suggestions that are being considered. However, it takes time and resources that may not be there yet. After all, PVE/WvW is by far the favored area of the game, and is currently the money maker.
It is unfortunate, because the resources are probably allocated to what makes more in the gem store – sPVP is getting strangled by policy. They aren’t making money so they dont put resources into it like they should, and players are leaving because the necessary development resources aren’t getting put into play, preventing the growth that is needed to bring people into/back to spvp.
Shame. sPvP is a blast in this game, but I am almost ready to go back to WoW just for variety instead of the same 4 classes with the same 4 builds on the same 4-5 maps all the time.

I can agree with you on this one. The lack of variety is one of the biggest flaws in my opinion.
I know there is way more wrong and way more right with it, but the same maps vs the same builds and same classes is very annoying and boring.
