Hey!

This might have been brought up before i dont really know i have not been checking these forums alot. Apologies if that is the case. I usually dont visit forums in games I play but i feel like I need to this time.
The reason i am here is that it is beyond me how this game, which I think is great by the way, can fail at such an important point.
Me and my friends (mostly +one at a time) cant play together in sPvP even if were in a party. We haven’t played alot but today we wanted to do some sPvP together. Is this possible at all? Since there is no option to join sPvP as a party my friend joined a game and i chose to join him in PvP by right clicking him in the party. What i expected to happen was that we would be able to play together in sPvP but instead we got put in the same instance of pvp but in opposite teams. (This went on for approx. 5 games until we had enough)
Is it possible at all to play together with friends in sPvP that is not tournament play?
Are we doing it wrong?
If not i feel that this is a big flaw in the game.
What i want from this game is to be able to play casually with my friends we are PvP oriented players and we get the most satisfaction from playing PvP in a smaller setting (not WvW)-

I was upset about this at first, but it has kind of worn off a tad considering I like killing my friends in pvp. I still think there should be an option for group play, and that tournaments just aren’t enough. Arenas would be fun, and that sounds like a pretty easy system to implement.

I’ve seen anet post in various threads though that they’re going to make a blog post on a lot of things they’re changing in spvp soon, so keep an eye out for that, it is still early.

have your friend zone in a spvp server then hotjoin him?

when your friend is on other team and its autobalance time, choose the option to be moved from your current team?

You can do free tourny together. Go to the tourny master, click Free Tournament → Create Roster → Invite Party → Submit, it will then queue you up.

You don’t need a full team of 5 to queue for TPvP.

You shouldn’t be to phased though, playing against friends who you have direct communication with is one of the better ways to learn class counters and improve your overall skill. It is also all of fun being able to actually call your opponent a scrub knowing they are listening.
